Role Purpose
The DevOps Engineer consults with internal clients about the software technology environment with medium to high complexity. They translate business requirements into technology terms and develop database scripts to complete client’s requests. The primary objective of the DevOps Engineer is to work with internal clients, the technical teams, and business units to ensure only best practice business processes are employed and SLAs are met.

“Develops, analyzes and maintains tools that support and automate processes for software product release. Writes installation scripts and programs code for installation of products. Works with project teams and in agile teams to determine an appropriate build schedule and then initiates the build and packaging process. Compiles and assembles software from source code. Ensures tools are stored in source control. Supports development for software package registry and delivery. Works with others to complete analysis, evaluations and design alternatives and to implement process improvements. Works with development engineers to correct build errors.”

Key Roles And Responsibilities

• The DevOps Engineer will support, maintain, and enhance the Goods Shipping and Tracking application, a propriety NTT Ltd platform.
• The DevOps Engineer will have full stack (front-end and back-end) development and support scope responsibilities of this platform.
• The DevOps Engineer will execute their duties within the defined ITIL aligned service management and change management governance established in NTT Ltd
• The DevOps Engineer will continuously engage the business stakeholders and end users to understand changes that require platform enhancements.
• The DevOps Engineer will continuously engage the internal IT stakeholders to collaborate on business platform and/or transactional data changes that have an impact on the Goods Shipping and Tracking application
• The DevOps Engineer will plan, develop, and test changes to the platform in accordance with the SAFe Agile Framework deployed within NTT Ltd
• The DevOps Engineer should have sound problem solving and analytical skills. They can communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including the technical teams and clients. They demonstrate impeccable attention to detail and communicate effectively their choices and plans to correct issues and improve the platform.
• For support and business service requests, the DevOps Engineer will perform the necessary steps to clarify the issue/requests, and act on them accordingly. This may involve troubleshooting at application level, in databases, on windows servers or network connections.
• DevOps Engineer will provide business and end users with updates on the progress and using discretion to escalate as appropriate to resolve customer issues within defined SLA and OLA timeframes.
• Manage, maintain, and update technical documents for the platform.
• Flexibility of time may be necessary depending on user and system requirements.

Academic Qualifications And Certifications

• Typically requires extensive related experience with a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree; or extensive experience
• Relevant SQL Server Certification beneficial
• Relevant Microsoft Development Certification (MCSD) beneficial
• Relevant DevOps certifications will be beneficial
• Agile and/or SAFe related certifications preferable.

• Minimum of 7 years of software development experience in the following technologies and components
• Microsoft
• IIS, SSIS, SSRS
• SQL Server – SQL query writing, Stored procedures, Views, Transactional Processing – (deep understanding of ACID principals)
• C#
• ASP.net 3.5 Forms
• ASP.net 5.0 MVC
• Intermediate Microsoft Server Administration
• Windows Services
• SharePoint integration (advantageous)
• JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks with HTML 4.0 - 5.0
• Experience writing and using REST APIs
• Integration with SAP ECC or SAP S4 advantageous
• Software Development Architectures and Methodologies
• Gang of 4 architecture standards
• SOLID and FLUID methodologies
• Working in Pinvoke
• Continuous integration experience (advantageous)
• Experience with safe source (Git) repository and code version control
• Flexibility, willingness to be available after hours on an emergency basis as needed.
• Experience on ticketing systems for customer services
