Tracker Technician - Rola Trust at Rola Motor Group

 We are looking for a skilled Tracker Technician to join our dynamic team at our Multifranchise Dealership based in Somerset West in the Western Cape. In this role, you will be responsible for the professional installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of vehicle tracking systems across a diverse range of vehicles and assets.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
• Automotive Electronics Certification or equivalent qualification
• Certification from leading tracking device providers (e.g., Tracker, Netstar, Cartrack) is advantageous
• Min 2years proven experience in tracker installations and car alarm/radio installations 
• Valid driver’s license
• Clear criminal record

Key Competencies:

• Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems and schematics.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Customer service-oriented with good communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work under pressure and without supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Installations: Install and configure (GPS/GSM) tracking devices in vehicles, ensuring secure and functional placement according to manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnostics & Repairs: Perform diagnostics and repairs on tracking systems and related electronic components.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of installations, services, and client interactions.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
