    Trade Communication & Content Manager

    Primary Purpose:  

    We seek a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as Trade Communication & Content Manager. This role requires a unique blend of marketing, writing, content creation and administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing and communicating to Trade Partners through various touch points as well as creating content to support initiatives across different trade audiences.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implement the monthly mailer,  new camp launch mailers & bulletin mailer process with the Creative Team -  including briefing, writing, overseeing newsletter development and approvals, through to scheduling and reporting.
    • Adaption of mailers for Trade audiences when required, ensuring the messaging and communication is relevant and differentiated for the segmented Trade audiences.
    • Create written content, including but not limited to product descriptions, blog intro, blog articles, and sales collateral, maintaining a consistent brand voice and style.
    • Manage and improve our content (copy, images, videos etc.) including but not limited to WETU, ITRVL, other owned content, PowerPoint presentations, maps, brochures, flyers and other related materials.
    • Adaption of of collateral to support our go-to-market campaigns and Trade communications, including but not exclusive to itineraries, Q&As, and other supporting documents and touch points for Trade audiences
    • Support the team sourcing images, content sharing and distribution, marketing segmentation, editing, and fact-checking to help drive strategic marketing campaigns.
    • Assist line managers in planning and executing trade shows, conferences, and other promotional events, ensuring the brand is well-represented and marketing objectives are met.
    • Contribute to the broader marketing team through exceptional understanding and knowledge of Wilderness, our culture, values, business, marketing and impact strategies.
    • Ensure that our brand values are consistently and accurately portrayed throughout the business, driving brand consistency across all company communications.
    • Contribute to regular workshops on Wilderness marketing, brand and impact strategies, and assist with any reasonable task related to the function of the marketing, communications, PR and media relations teams.

    Required Skills and Capabilities:

    • Proven creative writing skills and a clear understanding of brand and nuanced tone of voice for various target audiences and the customer (agent) journey.
    • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to proofread and format; an eye for brand-aligned imagery and video; an understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Organizational and planning skills
    • Deadline-oriented and an ability to work proficiently under pressure.
    • Ability to support busy colleagues with effective and appropriate communications.
    • A desire to learn and grow; confidence, energy and dynamism; ability to work with various internal stakeholders and build good relationships.
    • Confidence, energy and dynamism with the ability to work with various internal and external stakeholders.
    • Open to feedback with the confidence to know how and when to defend writing choices.
    • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

    Candidate Profile:

    • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in trade marketing, preferably in a fast-paced and competitive industry.
    • 5+ years of experience in trade marketing communications and copy writing, 3 of which within the travel and/or conservation tourism sector. Broad knowledge of the safari industry and luxury tourism is a plus.
    • Exposure to various marketing channels, both offline and online.
