    Trade Marketing Manager

    • Develop the Channel Go to Market trade strategy to deliver on country aspirations
    • Drive the annual channel architecture, tiering and clustering in line with national framework.
    • Define the channel size and commercial aspirations
    • Evaluate channel coverage and route to market for channel
    • Develop the picture of success per outlet type within channel
    • Develop account prioritization that informs the account investment strategy and the rep incentive model
    • Develop the annual the commercial channel strategy and guardrails to deliver on HT&R aspirations including tailored service packages and loyalty programmes
    • Develop the On Trade Group Accounts plans and targets, and deliver on these with the team of brand ambassadors and sales representatives
    • Develop the in trade execution guidelines for the channel including merchandising and category management principles
    • Build shopper and channel insight for continuous business improvement and a competitive advantage
    • Analyse and evaluate channel /region/ account and brand performance against channel metrics and provide recommendations and insights to the sales team to improve performance and profitability
    • Embed and govern execution standards to regional trade marketing, key accounts and brand marketing teams and champion channel capability in relevant channel
    • Manage the channel budget in line with Channel objectives
    • Develops internal and external relationships and networks
    • Influence and ensure buy in of the channel vision and strategy with key internal stakeholders (Regions, Group Accounts and Marketing Category Heads)
    • Build networks and form strong relationships with external agency networks and important accounts
    • Provide leadership and champion relevant channel capabilities and thinking within the region
    • Build the on trade team to operate at desired competence in line with role profiles as agreed through competence self- assessments
    • Continuously review channel insights and trade innovations
    • Review and benchmark: trade spend, alternative business models, planning and execution processes, innovative asset, merchandising and campaign delivery solutions to improve business performance and develop a competitive advantag

    The Successful Candidate Must Preferably Have The Following Experience/skills

    • A formal relevant Commercial qualification
    • 8+ years’ experience in FMCG environments - preferably Alcohol Beverages
    • Proven capability in marketing, trade marketing, and key accounts management
    • Great strategic and commercial skills- backed by strong abstract thinking
    • Proven track record in program development, management and implementation
    • Sound understanding of financial concepts and profitability analyses
    • Technology and systems proficiency (future fit)
    • Excellent presentation and influencing skills (up to board level.)
    • Adept at handling challenging interpersonal relationships.
    • The ability to travel extensively and drive trade execution
