    Trade Marketing Manager - Emerging Africa

    About the job
    The Vinimark Group is looking for a Trade Marketing Manager to join our motivated and passionate team to establish a Trade Marketing function as part of our four service pillars in the Brand Portfolio team.

    In this role you will be responsible for managing the Desktop Publishing Services team and supporting our portfolio of Brand Partners in:

    • Co-creating customer plans with Key Account Managers, bringing to life the in-store execution of their brand plans.
    • Co-creating trade presenters and selling arguments for our brand partners in conjunction with our Market Insights Manager.
    • Setting and leading the execution standards with the Sales teams, aligned with our brand partners’ brand plans.
    • Closely collaborate with the Insights and Sales teams as well as our brand partners to implement customer-specific activities delivering maximum effectiveness and best outcomes.
    • Building effective relationships with our customers’ marketing departments to assist our brand partners with their campaigns designs, requirements, and execution.
    • Analysing direct marketing campaigns across our portfolio with the Market Insights Manager and recommending changes to improve performance of existing campaigns, as well as suggesting new campaigns to drive customer engagement and sales impact.
    • Designing and developing all in-store POS to support our teams in executing on brand plans.
    • You are required to partner with the business by working closely with our Key Account Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Marketing and Insights teams, as well as externally with our brand partners and customer marketing departments to position both Vinimark and the Brand Portfolio department as an indispensable business partner to our Brand Partners, Sales Teams and Customers.
    • Most importantly, we’re looking for an individual who engages others and their work with absolute honesty, trust and confidentiality. Someone with a strong work ethic, integrity and ethics beyond reproach, who is self-motivated with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

    Key Experience and Qualifications

    • 5 - 8 years experience in a sales / commercial role, preferably within the liquor industry (will consider experience in other FMCG categories);
    • Minimum of 3 years experience managing / leading people;
    • Minimum 3 - 5 years in Trade Marketing / Key Account and / or Category Management;
    • Understanding of both the on- and off-consumption market is preferable;
    • Category and space management skills;
    • Bachelor’s degree required and a postgraduate degree advantageous (preferably in commerce or marketing)
    • MS Office (Word and PowerPoint – proficient; Excel – expert);
    • Valid driver’s license
