A Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Management OR related field (NQF Level 6)
3 years’ experience as a Training Coordinator.
Experience in scheduling and co-ordination of training and development programmes
Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of training and development programmes.
Knowledge of skills development legislation
Knowledge of professional registration requirements
Experience in skills development reporting
Knowledge of Human Resources Systems and Learning Systems
Proficient in MS word
Advanced facilitation skills
Summary of Duties:
Provide input into the DUT Skills Development Guideline
Assist with the identification of training and development needs and requirements in consultation with internal stakeholders. Consolidate input received and draft the DUT Skills Development Plan for review and approval.
Draft and communicate the training plan / schedule in accordance with the Skills Development Plan.
Assist with the facilitation on internal training and development programmes such as Induction as and when required.
Identify external providers for the facilitation of training and development programmes and validate their accreditation status, make recommendations to the head of the department.
Identify and co-ordinate internal trainers/ facilitators and external service providers in accordance with DUT learning and development policies.
Liaise with external service providers and keep up to date with development offerings.
Monitor adherence to service level agreements and escalate any unresolved non – compliance.
Co-ordinate skills audits and update the outcomes of audits on the relevant HR / Learning Management system.
Co-ordinate training and development related assessments in accordance with the assessment policy.
Manage the training nomination process in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures. Ensure
that entry requirements are adhered to where applicable.
Prepare and distribute training materials where required.
Co-ordinate logistical arrangements such as training venues, catering etc within budget
Update the Learning Management system on all training and development related information e.g., nominations and attendance records. Adhere to the safekeeping of training related records in accordance with legislative and DUT’s document management requirements.
Manage access to online learning and development modules.
Co-ordinate development initiatives in accordance with professional or any other statutory registration requirements.
Process training related invoices in accordance with DUT’s financial policies and procedures.
Monitor training expenses against budget.
Monitor progress on the Annual Skills Plans and timeously identify areas of improvement in order to optimise the receipt of training grants.
