To provide effective Training services to the Business to support the achievement of plans
Support the overall management of Education, Training and Development function
Effectively control Training standards
Effectively co-ordinate Health, safety and environment issues with regards to training
Manage the total learning cycle
Engage in systems development to support efficient operation of the department
Improve the efficiency of the department
Advise on training issues
Provide input into the management of the function
Engage in improvement activities
Represent the department at functional meetings
Effective administration of necessary systems
Structure area of responsibility appropriately to achieve optimal work output
Support employee development
Effectively engage in diversity management
Plan and manage Social and Labour Plan in line with legislative requirements
Requirements
NDip: HRD Management or any other relevant qualification
Mechanised & Conventional mining and or relevant Technical Trade qualification
Relevant Training qualifications (facilitation, assessor, moderator, ETDP certificates and or diploma)
Mine Overseer Certificate of competence will be advantageous
Minimum 7 years of training experience in a mining environment, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Knowledge of applicable legislation (e.g., Mines Health and Safety Act, Minerals Act, Skills Development Act, Employment Equity Act) and QCTO processes
Relevant mining technical training management experience
Understanding of skills gap matrix and analysis
Management of Social and Labour Plans
Attainment and preservation of the relevant SETA accreditation
Systems to manage and ensure delivery of compliance or mandatory training
Manage and deliver skills development programmes, including but not limited to Engineering Learnerships, Apprentices, Bursary Schemes, Internship, Experiential Training, etc.
Annual WSP/ATR reporting
Managing transition of systems to QCTO
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Claim grants refunds
Support in preparation process to uplift s54 and s55 of the MHSA
