Transport Co-Ordinator at Distell

Taking ownership of transportation execution function for Supply Chain transportation requirements i.e. bulk inbound raw and internal, packed interplant and empties returnable products. Key purpose will be to proactively drive dedicated shuttle utilization to reduce costs.

Key Performance Areas Include (but Are Not Limited To)

• Ensure all dedicated vehicles are loaded and offloaded on time.
• Ensure that operational execution of daily loading plans is adhered to and manage backlog loads.
• Identify and follow up on exceptions by communicating with transporter, loading point and internal customers.
• Capture execution information and KPI’s
• Generate daily loading adherence reports.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with deployment and transport planning functions.
• Backup to Bulk Transport Planner

The successful candidate must preferably have the following qualification, skills and experience:

• A relevant qualification, preferably in Logistics
• Excellent communication skills – daily contact with transport suppliers, dispatch and receiving sites
• Ability to work independently, accurately and under pressure
• 2-3 Years’ experience within a transportation environment will be an advantage
• Computer literacy (MS Office & SAP packages)
