Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ public transport or regulatory experience
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
Experience with Transport Survey Management System (TSMS) and Public Transport Regulation System (PTRS) would be advantageous;
Effective interpersonal and communication skills;
In-depth public transport planning and regulatory knowledge; and
Knowledge of the National Land Transport Act, Act 5 of 2009 (NLTA) and other applicable transport legislation
Willingness to work in different geographic locations in and outside of normal office hours at times.

Interpret and analyse relevant legislation, regulations, transport policies, standard
Operating procedures and statutory plans and apply them correctly and effectively;
Receive operating licence applications and formulate required direction letters and submissions within prescribed statutory time frames;
Engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders;
Network and build effective relationships and partnerships within and across the
organization as well as with external stakeholders;
Assist with implementation of projects and initiatives; and
General administration
