Key performance areas

This role entails managing CSI and M&E projects for corporate clients and other funders. It includes three broad areas:

• Business development: meeting with prospective clients, devising methodologies, drafting proposals and responding to tenders, presenting to potential clients and all activities necessary to secure work.
• Project management: project planning and tracking, managing and mentoring teams of consultants and contractors, regular team meetings, all client liaison, and ensuring project administration including contracting, filing and invoicing is done.
• Quality management: providing supporting to consultants, directing and reviewing analysis and other outputs, and overseeing all client deliverables.

Qualifications and experience

The ideal candidate will be a graduate with more than seven years of experience in consulting, including technical knowledge of CSI and M&E. Applicants must have:

• Graduate qualifications from university, preferably with a post-graduate qualification
• A strong interest in the role of business in society and social development
• Minimum seven years’ experience in corporate consulting, with at least three years experience in CSI / M&E and at least three years’ experience in managing projects
• Excellent analytical skills with proven experience
• Ability to collate large volumes of qualitative and quantitative data into detailed and concise reports and summaries
• Strong writing, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
