    Trust Administrator

    Job Description

    • A fantastic opportunity has become available within one of the most successful local renewable energy developers in South Africa. The successful incumbent will assist with the management of the three community trusts operating within two local municipalities. Ensure that the responsibilities of the trustees related to stakeholder engagement, community projects, and administrative management addressing strategic and operational matters are executed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee management of the finances
    • Assisting the beneficiaries in making applications for allocations
    • Assisting the trustees in fulfilling their obligations under the Trust Deed
    • Developing policies, procedures, and guidelines to operationalise the Trust Deed
    • Overall programme management
    • Preparation of annual trustee planner
    • Attending all trustee meetings and taking minutes
    • Receiving and reviewing applications for funding, including conducting due diligence of and verifying all short-listed projects, on behalf of the Trust
    • Providing administrative support to the trustees in fulfilling their fiduciary duties
    • Managing risk, compliance, and assurance processes, including trustee professional indemnity requirements
    • Documenting and maintaining all programmatic reporting
    • Receiving and reviewing all beneficiary project reporting, and liaising with beneficiaries

    Requirements:

    • 3-year degree or similar with relevant working experience
    • Must have relevant experience in governance, community development including practical/hands-on programme management, stakeholder engagement and reporting
