    Ultrasound Sales Applications Professional

    We are looking for a Sales – Applications Professional who plans and executes sales targets in Southern Africa. This is to increase sales with all existing and potential customers and to achieve defined commercial targets. The delivery of Application Training is focused on support pre and post sales for Multi-modality sales and Business Partners.

    Your Areas of Responsibility for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Sales and customer satisfaction are the primary responsibilities for this role.
    • Plan sales volumes and potentials of all customers in South Africa. This role provides support mainly for the Gauteng region however you may be required to support other regions and countries.
    • Provides information via CRM for forecasts and planning.
    • Analyses of the specific market conditions and building a sound market related network of stakeholders.
    • Spots opportunities for local product and service portfolio solutions.
    • Prepares customer contact, builds and maintains a customer focused network.
    • Prepares / coordinates and negotiates proposals in cooperation with proposal Mgmt. / other involved professionals and Ultrasound Management.
    • Completes sales and revenue related key reporting.
    • Contributes to the development of Post Sales in Ultrasound business (SW and HW) in South Africa.
    • May act as a point of contact to customers in commercial matters and influences collaboration within the organization to secure customer support.
    • KPI’s: Revenue target, Market Share, Demo Hit rate and Market Transparency.
    • Delivery of Application Training and Support for Sales, Business Partners and Project Management. This role provides support mainly for the Gauteng region however you may be required to support other regions and countries.
    • Working with the Customer Care Centre, taking the ownership of customer applications service.
    • Responsible for customer satisfaction on site by demonstrating proactive attitude and actions to optimize performance. Develop and maintain relationships with customers.
    • Install and configure systems, working with Customer Service Engineers, Sales, Project Management and Business Partners to train customers, with the highest quality standards and meeting timelines.
    • Update system software in accordance with deadlines set by the company. Inform customers of the advantages to be gained by the update and doing training if necessary.
    • Contribute to creating a motivated, positive, and communicative atmosphere, with tight teamwork with all other colleagues and departments. Communicate commercial information and opportunities closely with Business Management.
    • Provide product demonstrations to support the achievements of the annual sales plan.
    • Develop the Siemens Healthineers brand image, projecting an image of professional and competence always.
    • Discussing with customers action taken to resolve events and explaining any further actions that may be required.
    • Using good judgement to decide when to investigate the escalation process in order to resolve a customer event.
    • Work within deadlines to prepare information for management and colleagues when requested.
    • Informing service management or team lead of situations where customer satisfaction is compromised, or contractual obligations are unlikely to be met.
    • Strict compliance to the company culture which includes mission, values and vision quality procedures and work instructions.
    • Probes customers in order to fully understand their needs and problems.
    • Suggests solutions, products and services that fit customers’ requirements.
    • Leverages industry trends to position Siemens solutions.
    • Sells Siemens products and solutions to all key stakeholders within South Africa.
    • Working with Marketing to successfully launch new products and services.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
    • Work in a team and individually without supervision.

    Medical Ultrasound Industry Knowledge

    • Has knowledge of the Ultrasound market, developments and trends.
    • Understand healthcare and specifically, ultrasound ownership, reimbursement, key regulations, products and technology.
    • Understanding how developments and trends could impact the healthcare industry, customers and Siemens
    • Understands ultrasound clinical workflows.
    • Knowledge of competitors in the market.

    Qualifications And Experience

    • Minimum is a National Diploma in Medical Ultrasound/Bio-medical engineering or any related field with enough knowledge in Medical Ultrasound.
    • Good understanding of Ultrasound clinical and sales challenges.
    • A minimum of 2 year’s experience, a proven track record of experience in Clinical Ultrasound is mandatory.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
    • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to deal with customers and staff at all levels.
    • Ability to sell, good teaching skills and a good team worker.
    • Fluency in English written and spoken. Another local or international language would be an advantage

    What else do you need to know?

    • You need to have a valid South African driver’s license and your own car
    • You need to have a valid passport.
    • You must not have restrictions to travel within SADC and abroad.
    • Must be a South African National, preferably from a designated diversity group
    • Excellence and Quality in the daily interactions, operations and reporting is mandatory for this role.
