User Interface Designer at Wyzetalk

The User Interface Designer supports the development team with the design and development of existing and new functionality within the Wyzetalk product. The User Interface Designer is expected to develop user journeys and design user interfaces related to all development projects. 

This person plays a pivotal role in the software development life cycle as part of the pre-development design phase as well as the post-development acceptance testing phase.

User Journey Development

• A clear understanding of the Wyzetalk technology, use cases and technical limitations of the platform
• Extensive knowledge of our systems and processes in order to be the first point of call for UI designs
• Translate technical requirements into prototypes, wireframes and mock-ups
• Collaborate with the development team to define and implement solutions for the existing product and enhancements
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems 
• Conduct layout adjustments based on development team feedback
• Coordinate with business, technology teams and developers to create new wireframes and workflows in line with project requirement and technology limitations
• Analyse, propose and develop ways to consistently improve the usability of the Wyzetalk product

User Interface Design

• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how mobile applications should function and be visually implemented 
• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to the development team for all development projects
• Develop interactive models and user navigation to illustrate user journeys as part of the development scope 
• Prepare and present designs to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Sign-off developed functionality as part of the internal UAT process

Developing and Designing Graphical Elements

• Designing graphic elements for mobile application and CMS for all development projects
• Research and implement the latest design trends and principles into application
• Keep up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies and recommend best practice for a product

Minimum Experience

• A general understanding of all Design aspects.
• 5+ years’ experience in a digital designing environment.
• at least three years’ experience as a UI designer 
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.  
• Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
