Bizmod Consulting is looking for UX Designer candidates for a contract position in a Management Consulting environment. Minimum 3+ years’ relevant experience is imperative. 

CLIENT: Overt – a business design company that combines human-centered design, strategic thinking, and creativity to develop simple solutions that solve complex business needs.

INITIAL CONTRACT: ASAP for an initial 3-month period, with potential for extension to 6 / 12 months – extension to be reviewed towards the end of the initial contract.

PROJECT:

• The project is a B2B (Business-to-Business) platform to manage all business interactions between the client and their clients.

• The primary function of the client is the management of cash for several large financial institutions.

• The UX Designer will be working alongside a dedicated UX Lead, and a part-time CX Lead.

• Primary role will be to receive specifications from the client / PM, and work alongside other resources to deliver wireframes & UI elements.

• There will be opportunity to give input and feedback in the broader project, journeys, etc.

• While there are some default components that have been created in terms of UI, the resource should feel comfortable with designing new elements as well.

• Down the line, there may be some opportunity for customer research and engagement.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• Minimum 3+ years’ UX Design experience.

• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma or similar qualification

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Design thinking

• Understanding of interaction design principles and information architecture

• Proficient in design software / industry software (e.g. Sketch / Photoshop / Illustrator / Adobe InDesign / Zeplin / OmniGraffle / UXPin / Balsamiq / etc.)

• Knowledge of and experience in using wireframe tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc and InVision)

• A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns

• Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision

• Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design

• Business know-how: understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Thorough understanding of- and experience in Agile, including:

• Active participation in Sprint Planning

• Join and participate in Daily Stand-up meetings

• Requirement / Information elicitation

• Back-log grooming

• Retrospectives
