    Warehouse Specialist : Settlement & Customer Disputes

    • Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Specialist : Settlement & Customer Disputes, to join the Midrand team at CCBA. The role will report to the Country Lead Warehouse Services.

    Key Purpose 

    • To lead and standardise customer settlement and dispute management processes across CCBSA warehouses by driving governance, operational excellence, risk management, process optimisation and capability development. The role ensures efficient dispute resolution, strengthens financial controls, improves customer experience, delivers actionable business insights and enhances organisational performance through continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities    
    Key Outcome

    Customer Dispute Management

    • Own the end-to-end settlement and customer dispute management process across CCBSA.
    • Develop and review business standards, policies and operating procedures for dispute management.
    • Standardise settlement processes across warehouses.
    • Drive process harmonisation and simplification.
    • Ensure alignment with Finance, Commercial and Supply Chain operating models.

    Operational Excellence

    • Identify systemic causes of customer disputes.
    • Lead root cause analysis across the business.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Design preventative controls that minimise recurring disputes.
    • Improve settlement cycle times and operational efficiency.

    Governance & Risk Management

    • Define governance frameworks for settlement activities.
    • Establish financial control standards.
    • Monitor compliance across regions.
    • Lead governance reviews and operational audits.
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls and statutory requirements.
    • Identify enterprise risks relating to customer settlements.

    Data Analytics & Business Insights

    • Analyse settlement performance across CCBSA and the broader warehouse network.
    • Identify trends affecting customer experience and financial performance.
    • Develop executive dashboards and KPIs.
    • Provide strategic recommendations based on operational insights.
    • Apply analytics to identify emerging risks.

    Capability Development

    • Develop settlement capability across warehouse teams.
    • Design training material and operational guidance.
    • Coach site settlement teams.
    • Facilitate knowledge sharing across sites.
    • Build organisational capability in dispute prevention.

    Skills, Experience & Education    
    Education 

    • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Commerce or related discipline
    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.

    Experience

    • 8–10 years progressive experience in logistics, warehouse operations, customer settlements, supply chain finance or commercial operations.
    • Extensive experience in FMCG operations.
    • Proven experience designing or improving enterprise processes.
    • Experience leading cross-functional improvement programmes.
    • Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives.
    • Experience influencing senior business leaders.
    • Experience working in complex, multi-site operations.
    • Experience with MSD, AWMS and TMS platforms.

    Skills

    • Enterprise Expertise – Provides specialist guidance on settlement and customer dispute management across the organisation.
    • Process Optimisation – Designs and improves end-to-end operational processes to enhance efficiency and consistency.
    • Strategic Influencing – Influences senior stakeholders to achieve enterprise-wide outcomes without direct authority.
    • Data Analytics – Translates complex operational data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
    • Continuous Improvement – Leads initiatives that improve performance, standardise processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
    • Governance & Standards – Develops governance frameworks, policies and operating standards that strengthen compliance and control.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Brings together diverse stakeholders to solve complex business challenges and drive sustainable outcomes.
