Warehouse Supervisor (Hyundai RPDC (DBN) at Motus Holdings Limited

Job Description    

Key Performance Areas (KPA’s):

• Direct receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, and oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of products.
• Ensuring that quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. This will include all repairs and maintenance.
• Plan, manage and monitor governance compliance processes in the area of accountability in order to manage risks and expose liabilities.
• Manage returns for credit on a daily basis – RFC’s and Obsolete returns.
• Oversee high-value lockup (full responsibility), tidiness, security, access control
• Oversee in preparation for stock counts. Alerting management of business interruptions that may impact the ability to service customers.
• Ensure that all bins not allocated are sorted and put into their bin location daily (N/STOCK, Rec)
• Ensure all documents received are sent up to the Procurement office without delay so that receipting and costing can take place as quickly as possible.

Specific Role Responsibilities    

Processes and procedures

• Creating and defining SOP’s for all the different divisions within the warehouse environment. (Receiving, material handling, warehousing, and despatch, etc.)
• Develop and maintain systems and processes to reduce stock shrinkage and damages, including damages to fittings, equipment, and injuries to staff in conjunction with the Health and Safety officer Functions requiring other department involvement
• Controls inventory levels by signing off on perpetual counts (procurement department)
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed (management team)
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in conjunction with the Health and Safety officer.
• Ensuring invoices sent for picking are properly prioritized and that grid is kept clean and up to date(Manage this when the barcoding is printed on the invoices and in conjunction with the 3PL – DSV).
• Advise procurement office regarding short supplies and oversupplies (procurement department)
• Work closely with DSV and have weekly meetings to ensure alignment where necessary
• Unforeseen duties which may arise to streamline our system and service to our dealers
• Work overtime as requested Keep changerooms and canteen clean and tidy. Report damages to Health and Safety Officer.
• Advising management and developing interventions to remedy quick developing issues: such as run-on-demand for a part indicating potential stock out, courier service interruption, system malfunction, technical failure trends.

Qualifications and Experience    

• Matric a must have
• Tertiary Education (Postgraduate Diploma in logistics)
• Logistical experience and Distribution experience
• Warehouse Management experience 2-3 years
