Warehouse Technical Specialist at HomeChoice Holdings Limited

Description

Develops, implements and co-ordinates systems, facilities and procedures, in conjunction with factory and depot management to ensure that the finished goods warehouse is equipped and structured to operate effectively to meet the company's warehousing and freight requirements.

Technical Support:

• Develops, implements, and co-ordinates systems, facilities, and procedures in conjunction with WHS management to ensure that the finished goods warehouse is equipped and structured to operate effectively to meet Homechoice warehouse requirements
• Responsible for aligning, implementing, and controlling physical tasks with WMS systems capability and functionality to optimize WMS solutions and minimize risk in operational execution
• Optimize system transactions by identifying shortfalls and or problem areas 

Training and Development:

• Provide detail on WMS for training material through exceptional knowledge of WMS navigation and use
• Facilitate end users with an understanding of system and provider training to ensure appropriate use
• Act as  1st Line of Support for issues experienced on the floor and provide troubleshooting solutions
• Provides technology help desk for the organization and its venues

Content Management:

• Content uploading and data importing into the system
• Management of staging and live sites
• Manipulates and combines data fom various sources to enlarge and enhance the data warehouse.  
• Acts as a liaison between engineers, data architects, programmers and analyst
• Periodic data migration 

Order Fulfillment:

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of internal and external orders

• To follow up and update customers on shipment details
• Work with the Bulk Supply team and regional planner team to assist in
• Identify areas of improvement through daily operations

WHS management and Improvement:

• Prepare reports, workflow, and quality-related documentation
• Review existing workflow and documentation procedures and update the changes in order to comply with policies
• Ensure proper documentation/record keeping for internal and external audits
• Warehouse space planning and organization
• Liaise with cross-departments to carry out smooth distribution operations according to work procedures
• Ensure timely replenishment of warehouse  materials for daily operations

Health and Safety:

• Injuries:
• Prevent injury & ill health.
• Encourage accurate and timely reporting and recording of all incidents and injuries.
• Investigate all reported incidents and injuries to identify all contributing factors and, where appropriate and formulate plans for corrective action.
• Actively encourage the early reporting of any pain or discomfort.

Hazards & Risks:

• Identify all existing and new hazards and take all practicable steps to eliminate, isolate or minimize exposure to any significant hazards.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of related experience 
• Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain and extensive knowledge of warehousing, order fulfillment, and logistics, especially in distribution centers
