Web Developer at Bidvest Facilities Management

Tasks

• Design and develop robust, testable, and maintainable software solutions
• Document software and designs, in particular business rules and key technical decisions
• Research and make suggestions on how to improve our existing systems
• Analyse, diagnose and resolve software errors
• Support IT governance and IMS procedures (Change Management, Incident Management, Development Lifecycle etc.)

Qualifications 

• A bachelor's degree or national diploma in information technology, computer science, or a similar field.
• Grade 12
• Driver License 
• At least 5 years' working experience as a web and/or full stack developer.
• 5 years' experience in Web Design / Development and backend
• Deep understanding and troubleshooting of Typescript, Node JS, React JS and JavaScript
• Ample knowledge of web best practices
• Understand software engineering techniques
• Multiplatform frameworks: Cordova, Electron, Flutter
• Experience with DBs like MySQL, SQL, Mongo, PostgreSQL
• Strong Frontend experience: HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, XML, XHTML Development skills

IT Training

• A strong knowledge of Microsoft web development toolsets is essential.
• Knowledge and use Dev and CI Tools
• AGILE and Scrum
