Post Description:

• Facilitator - Welding.

 Minimum Requirements:

• Senior Certificate;
• Trade Certificate in Welding;
• Minimum 3 years industry experience;
• Training or Facilitation Skills;
• POE development and learning evidence collection skills;
• Assessor and Moderator with NAMB/SETA an added advantage;
• NAMB registered as a trade testing official an added advantage.

 Duties:

• Planning, facilitation and administering training processes;
• Providing training to apprentices according to training schedule;
• Facilitate welding skills training to unemployed youth of varied ability;
• Manage simulated workshop environment;
• Implement and facilitate on-going training in line with industry & NQF standards;
• Prepare, review and administer assessments;
• Administer training registers and practical simulated exposure;
• Compile exit level projects and monthly reports;
• Collect and review portfolios of learning evidence (POE);
• Design, monitor and deliver on the implementation plan;
• Provide learners with an understanding of the Welding Industry they will be pursuing a career in;
• Base line assess candidates to check understanding;
• Conduct toolkits gap training and trade test preparation to candidates;
• Management of workshop tools and equipment, procurement and safekeeping;
• Conduct risk assessments, investigate and report incidents;
• Site visits to companies where learners are placed and completion of monitoring reports.

• Be able to explain content clearly, both verbally and written;
• Be friendly, approachable and professional, with team ethics;
• Be able to relate knowledge to everyday situations in a practical way;
• Computer literate;
• Be versatile in your delivery and have ways to deliver to varied groups of learners.

• A recently updated Curriculum Vitae;
• Original certified copies of qualifications;

• Original certified copy of driver’s license document;
• Original certified copy of Identity Document (back and front, if a smart card);
• Certifications should not be older than three (3) months;
