Welding Training Officer -Kathu at Anglo American

Job Description:
As our Welding Training Officer, you will be responsible for the following:

• Assisting in the design, development and maintenance training material, programmes and assessments in line with MQA/SAQA standards.
• Preparing and contribute to the auditing processes and identity and implement actions to rectify deviations within area of responsibility.
• Controlling and maintain the administration of training documents.
• Coaching and guiding trainees
• Conducting need/ skills assessments to determine training needs
• Assessing learner practical and theoretical competencies against approved MQA & other standards and maintain related portfolio of evidence of each learner.
• Implementing effective/innovative technical training programs and development opportunities to develop the skills of all employees

This role is in the Human Resources Development department on a band 7 and reporting to the Supervisor Mechanical/Diesel

Qualifications:
You will be required to have the following:

• Grade 12/N3
• ODETD-level-4 (advantageous)
• PLATER/WELDER Trade certificate 
• Relevant post grade 12 qualification (advantageous)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Medical Fitness Certificate
• Assessor certificate (advantageous)
• Moderator certificate (advantageous)
• Previous training experience will be advantage.
• Minimum 5 years practical experience as a artisan
