WFS Finance Business Partner - 6 month contract at Woolworths

MAIN PURPOSE:
The purpose of this 6 month contract is to automate financial reporting files in order provide the business with commercial thought leadership, insightful financial & commercial analysis, accurate financial reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Automation of current manual reports for all reporting responsibilities of the BPA (Budget, Planning and Analytics finance function).
This includes the automation of:

• Management and financial reporting (not financial accounting) across various dimensions, including weekly and monthly performance reporting, which includes being part of month end close process
• Monthly financial reporting to shareholders for actuals and variances against budget
• Value adding finance & commercial input to support translation of strategic objectives into KPI’s, financial targets and forecasts
• Build and maintain financial models which accurately forecast project and business performance

KEY COMPETENCIES:
Technical Skills (essential):

• Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills
• Business and commercial understanding including analytical ability to identify key value drivers and measures of success
• Financial modelling skills including building of robust financial models based on business value drivers, including income statements, cash flows, balance sheets, financial metrics and KPIs
•  Understand financial processes and systems (General Ledger, Sub-ledgers and Budgeting etc.)

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

•  Relevant Financial qualification e.g. BCom Finance/B. Bus. Sci./or equivalent
•  CA (SA) / CIMA

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

•  Minimum of 2 years (post-articles) experience with Financial/Management accounting experience and/or financial reporting and/or advisory experience.
