QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES 

Minimum Qualifications 

• Diploma in International Trade Management/Business/Commerce/Economics/Management (NQF level6) 
• Master of Business Administration/Masters in International Trade would be an added advantage 
• Five (05) years’ experience in international trade/consulting.

• Knowledge on Municipal Finance Management Act 
• Local Government policies, processes and procedures

KEY PERFORMANCE / MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE 

• Formulate and implement strategies for business expansion and development; 
• Drive business growth by attracting and onboarding new clients into the trade program; 
• Facilitate the negotiation of contractual terms and conditions to ensure mutually beneficial agreements; 
• Provide advice on international business law, trade regulations and customs; 
• Develop new business by engaging and enrolling new clients into the trade program 
• Build and sustain enduring relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth and ensure seamless trade operations; 
• Monitor and evaluate performance across multiple indicators; 
• Partner with Sales & Marketing teams to secure new leads; 
• Identify market trends and developments and potential business opportunities; 
• Oversee compliance with domestic and international trade laws, including customs regulations, tariffs, and restrictions on trade; 
• Coordinate departmental resources, encompassing Human Resource functions, administrative reporting, and compliance management.
