YC: Production Support at UD Trucks

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Quickly identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the production process.
• Collaborating with maintenance teams, engineers, and other relevant personnel to address technical problems.
• Identifying areas for process improvement and working with cross-functional teams to implement changes that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Analysing production data to identify trends and patterns that can be used to optimize processes.
• Collaborating with quality control teams to ensure that production processes meet specified quality standards.
• Investigating and resolving quality issues to prevent defective products from reaching the market.
• Providing training to production operators and other personnel on new equipment, processes, and procedures.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of processes, troubleshooting procedures, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborating with engineering, logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth coordination of production activities.
• Communicating effectively with different teams to address production challenges and implement improvements.
• Developing and implementing emergency response plans to address unexpected events, such as equipment failures or safety incidents.
• Coordinating with relevant teams to quickly resolve emergency situations and minimize production disruptions.
• Collecting and analysing data related to production processes to identify areas for improvement and monitor key performance indicators.
• Using data-driven insights to make informed decisions and optimize production efficiency.

Minimum qualifications

• Diploma in Operations Management (Essential)
• Vehicle assembly/ vehicle manufacturing experience in Operational Management role will be  an added advantage.
• Experience in commercial vehicle assembly will be an added advantage.
