Job Summary
A vacancy exists for a Supply Chain Management Clerk at Table Mountain National Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial administration for supply chain management in the park. The successful candidate will report to the Supply Chain Management Practitioner and will be based at Table Mountain National Park.

Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate with Accounting and or Business subjects;
- National Diploma/ N Diploma in Financial Accounting/Financial Management/Internal Auditing/Public Management/Supply Chain Management or relevant equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience in Supply Chain Management/Financial environment;
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Packages;
- Working knowledge of MS Great Plains will be an added advantage;
- A working knowledge of relevant legislation, including PFMA; PPPFA; SANParks Policies, and General Procurement Guidelines;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
- Applicant must be flexible and have the ability to meet tight deadlines and work without supervision
Responsibilities
- Checking of SCM compliance in line with National Treasury Regulation and SCM Policies and Procedures
- Provide administration support in the bid/quotation process in line with the Demand Management Plan
- Submit SCM Registers on a monthly basis to SCM Practitioner
- Generate Purchase Orders
- To maintain an appropriate record of Standard Bidding Documents
- Monitoring of Contracts
- To check that all received documents adhere to relevant legislation, internal and external finance policies, processes and regulations and send back those incorrectly completed
- To keep a record of all received requisitions and invoices
- Follow up on outstanding invoices with the relevant end-user for generated purchase orders
- Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

A challenging vacancy currently exists for a Senior Section Ranger at Addo Main Camp Section, Addo Elephant National Park.

Requirements
- National Diploma in Nature Conservation or Degree in the Conservation sphere
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in the Conservation field
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Section Ranger, or similar rank, in a Big 5 reserve
- Valid Firearm competency and ability to use a wide range of firearms is essential.
- Code 08 Drivers license
- Must be able to fly in helicopters and small fixed-wing aircraft for several hours.
- A person with a high level of general fitness and mental alertness is required in this position.
- No criminal record – SAPS screening and Integrity Testing will be conducted prior to the appointment.
- Good written and verbal communication, conflict resolution, project management and liaison skills
- Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office Package, Email, and Internet
- The ability to work under unfavourable and potentially hazardous conditions.
- Availability to work irregular hours (anti-poaching and other emergencies)
Responsibilities
- Territorial integrity that includes law enforcement, collection, interpretation and evaluation of information on adjacent areas and communities.
- Implementation and administration of approved Conservation Policy according to agreed management and operational plans as well as stipulations of relevant legislation.
- Natural resources management which includes the implementation of invasive plants, alien animals, and unnatural soil erosion management systems.
- Development of sound and mutually beneficial relationships with park users and other associated stakeholders, organizations and individuals.
- Management of the technical infrastructure in the section.
- Financial management that includes the preparation of budgets and daily financial administration of own section.
- Human Resources management and the administration of own section.
- Participating in activities and providing inputs on environmental matters in the Control Area of the national park, including Environmental Impact Assessments and any other issues that might affect the park.
- To ensure adequate control of visitor activities, and safety and security
Please Note
- The appointment will be in accordance with EE targets plan.
- The remuneration package includes a basic salary, based on the salary scale of a position with a Paterson D1 job grade and allowances and benefits as specified in the HR Tariff Document and Conditions of Services of SANParks.
- Candidate will be required to reside within the Park and official accommodation will be made available to the successful candidate.
