Minimum Qualifications /Requirements

• Human Resource Management qualification/degree (Hons Degree).
• Driver’s license (essential).
• Own vehicle (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Knowledge of the People Resources cycle.
• Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint (SAGE advantageous)
• Highly analytical and action orientated.
• Resourceful organiser.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Assist the people management department with day-to-day tasks.
• Assist with value adding people management projects
• Responsible for administrative tasks
• Assist with compiling people management analytical information.
• Employee relations.
• Assist with people management reporting functions.
• Exposure to people management functions.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

• Grade 12
• N2 Fitter Certificate
• Minimum 2 year’s working experience in Engineering Environment
• Must be medically fit to work on a Mine

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Risk assessment to be filled in and signed before any job is carried out
• Grease all bearings according to prescribed greasing schedule
• Check all gearbox oil levels, report any potential failures on gearboxes, V-belts, motors and bearings
• Check that all required pumps around mine are working
• Check dam levels and ensure that water samples are taken
• If dams are full and water test are in allowable level, ensure you open valve to release water into catchment area
• Check all dust suppression dams for correct water levels
• Installation of pipes and pump guards
• Adhere to all safety rules at all times and follow proper lockout procedure
• Assist in daily plant maintenance
• Participate in good housekeeping, make sure that the work area is clean at all times, clean tools and equipment at all the times

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Risk assessment to be filled in and signed before any job is carried out
• Assist Electrician to clean substation areas daily
• Assist Electrician to clean transformers areas daily
• Assist with greasing of electrical motors monthly
• Assist with electrical repairs under the supervision of the Qualified Electrician
• Replace all effective globe, electrical equipment plugs and switches
• Assist in cleaning all electrical panels on a monthly basis
• Assist with monthly inspections of electrical equipment and completion of legal registers
• Assist with minor electrical resets
• Adhere to all safety rules at all times and follow proper lockout procedure
• Assist in electrical inspections
• Keep electrical stores clean and tidy at all time
• Good timekeeping and attendance
• Participate in good housekeeping practices at the mine
