    Site Manager (De Grote Boom Mine)

    Minimum Qualification / Experience:

    • Diploma/Degree in Blasting/Mining or civil Engineering
    • DMRE Opencast Blasting Ticket.
    • MQA Surface Rock Breaking Certificate. 01/07/2009 to 31/05/2017
    • Minimum of 5-7 years’ drilling and blasting within the mining industry.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervising or management of a team role
    • Experience with the use of electronic and pyrotechnic initiation systems.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Planning and detailed execution of plans.
    • Safety driven, effective multi – tasking and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Proficient in Blast map III Blasting Software.
    • Able to multitask

    Duties and responsibilities (not limited to)

    • Manage and handling day-to-day operations of the drilling and blasting on site
    • Develop and implementing Site-specific drilling and blasting plans
    • Blasting scheduling to ensure that workplace safety, explosives handling, storage, and transport protocols are adhered to.
    • Monitor and ensure quality control in drilling and blasting, assessing blast outcomes, fragmentation and environmental impact.
    • Preparing regular weekly and monthly reports.
    • Lead, mentor and train a team of drilling and blasting personal fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety
    • Assist the PM Department with recruitment, onboarding, payroll and Disciplinary actions
    • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and all records are in order.
    • Be willing to travel to other sites and operations.
    • Establishing sound relationships with all stakeholders

    Low Bed Driver (Worcester)

    Minimum Qualification / Experience:

    • Matric (Grade 12).
    • Valid driver’s license EC (Code 14).
    • Valid PDP.
    • Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health & Safety Act.
    • 5 years’ experience as a Low Bed Driver.
    • Ability to carry out repetitive tasks quickly and methodically.
    • Strong safety awareness and ability to work autonomously.
    • Able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.

    Duties and responsibilities (not limited to)

    • Visually and physically check each item on the low bed that is listed in the Operator’s
    • Daily Pre-Start Check List
    • Work safely.
    • Be a responsible, honest and motivated employee
    • Check the truck at the start of each day.
    • Transport the load.
    • Care for the Low bed.
    • Close out at the end of the day.
    • Operate the Low bed within the manufacturer’s specifications and in accordance with
    • standards set during training.
    • Continually check the gauges of the Low bed during operation
    • Attend to problems immediately if gauges show a problem.
    • Keep the Low bed clean.

    Key Accounts Manager (Lyttelton and Hartebeesfontein operations)

    Minimum Qualification / Experience:

    • Matric (Grade 12).
    • Relevant Diploma/Degree would be advantageous preferably in the civil engineering discipline.
    • 3 years + experience as a Key Accounts Manager.
    • Computer literate.
    • Solid understanding of the construction materials’ applications, specifications and product results interpretation.
    • Problem solving and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships.
    • Travel to various sites and attend customer meetings.

    Duties and responsibilities (not limited to)

    • Customer retention and growing the customer base.
    • Budget preparations and customer price reviews.
    • Compile daily sales reports.
    • Nurture good relationships with internal sales clerk, plant, weighbridge, production and the laboratory personnel.
    • Weekly and monthly forecasts.
    • Liaising with the transport service providers and negotiating special rates with the transport vendors.
    • Address and resolve customer queries.
    • Execute all agreed projects and / or carry out ad hoc assignments.
