    Deputy Unit Manager - ICU

    Description

    • Manage the staff requirements of the Unit
    • Conduct orientation and train new staff
    • Evaluate staff performance
    • Manage nursing standards and in-service training
    • Maintain a professional image and character
    • Ensure quality and excellent patient care
    • Enforce health and safety regulations
    • Accurate record keeping and management of stock
    • Policy implementation

    Requirements

    • Professional Nursing Qualification
    • Diploma/Certificate in Critical Care General
    • At least five years relevant experience in a leader/shift leader position in ICU
    • Registration of SANC and proof of indemnity cover are pre-requisites
    • A pleasant disposition
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent leadership abilities
    • Own transport would be advantageous

    Front of House Supervisor - Catering Department

    Description

    • Knowledge of the customer service, basic food production principles, managing staff development and training
    • Supervise staff and to attend to problems encountered at ward level
    • Ability to organise and co-ordinate kitchen services efficiently

    Description

    • Ensure the quality, presentation, consistency and taste of all meals
    • Maintain appropriate hygiene standards of the workstations and kitchen at all times
    • Ensure that specifications are correct according to the standard recipes
    • Ensure daily and meals and food for functions are prepared timeously
    • Ensure the correct accompaniments and condiments are served with all meals
    • Control production costs, i.e. no over production, and use of leftovers

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 with a recognised Chef qualification and 3 years’ experience

    • Knowledge of Halaal dietary needs and cultural requirements and constraints
    • To oversee the preparation and cooking of all meals served by the Catering Department as per the standard recipes, production schedules and cycle menus

    Description

    • Check goods received in conjunction with the Kitchen Supervisor
    • Pack goods received in the appropriate areas
    • Assist the Catering Manager in keeping stores secure
    • Responsible for the general tidiness of the store area
    • Responsible for issuing of all goods from the store and recording thereof

    Requirements

    • Minimum Grade 12 qualification
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge of store control procedures
