    Support Analyst

    Professional Services Manager (UK hours)

    Role Overview:

    • MRI Software is seeking a Global Delivery Centre (GDC) Manager of Professional Services to join our team in Cape Town SA! This individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily functions of their SA region Services team members in the Professional Services departments. This role will report directly to the Director of Delivery in South Africa, with dotted line reporting to Professional Services leadership in the UK.

    Responsibilities:

    • Local Services oversight, leadership, and people management of approximately 20 SA Services employees part of the SA Services Global Delivery Centre
    • Engaging with various Business leaders locally and globally to help build and support the SA Services team, with a focus on culture and community, people management, and delivery excellence
    • Drive global integration and standardization in the SA region. Work with Professional Services Department Leadership to build a better global infrastructure built for scale through adoption of policies, standard operating procedures, and training/cross-training for SA Services teams
    • Working with global and local leadership to ensure commonality of approach as well as working with regional and global leadership for resource management and development
    • Contribute vision and leadership consistent with the MRI’s Services strategic plans and objectives to deliver technology initiatives in support of the growth of the organization
    • Optimizing solutions to improve performance, productivity, or reduce costs within or across the Services Departments
    • Be the Professional Services representative for unique challenges and needs of the SA region within the broader Services leadership structure
    • Other initiatives and projects as directed by the Director of Delivery SA, and UK Professional Services Leadership

    Experience and Skills:

    • 5+ year experience within a Business Management or related field
    • 5+ year experience managing a global team or other relevant leadership experience

    UI/UX Designer

    The Role:

    • As a Product Designer at MRI, you will work across the UX domain, including research (user interviews, product reviews, persona development), design (sketching, group ideation, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping), documentation (wireframes, specification writing), and user testing.
    • As part of a cross-functional team, you will collaborate with other designers and use qualitative and quantitative data to make informed, design-related decisions. You should be proficient at converting requirements into practical product features and have a high standard for visual design execution. 

    Functions:  

    • Design user interfaces and process flows using iterative design techniques incorporating findings from user interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery
    • Produce user personas, user stories, prototypes, wireframes, interaction and design specifications
    • Run ad-hoc usability tests with end users when needed and communicate research findings
    • Facilitate design review sessions with key stakeholders with the goal of advocating for the user needs
    • Engage with development to understand platform capabilities, communicate design goals, adapt and verify designs through the agile software development process
    • Create and maintain UI guidelines and visual standards
    • Identify opportunities for product or feature enhancements
    • Remain up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and consumer preferences
    • Iterate existing designs to meet industry or consumer needs

    You Have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • 4+ years’ experience as an information architect, interaction designer, product designer, user experience designer, and/or usability engineer
    • Proven knowledge of design aesthetics and solid understanding of User-Centered Design principles
    • Sharp attention to detail
    • Proficient in design tools, specifically Figma. Experience with other design tools such as Sketch and the Adobe Suite is beneficial
    • Understanding of cross platform, browser, and device design strategies
    • Relative experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript. While it is unlikely you will code, having knowledge of how Front-End code works is beneficial
    • Knowledge of responsive design techniques and challenges
    • Experience in contributing to a design system
    • Time and project management skills

    Software Engineer

    • MRI Software is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in our Cape Town office! As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. Candidate should have a passion for development and an eagerness to learn new things and improve their skills. You will be a part of a team that collaborates well and works hard.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop software features in a self-sufficient way and to a high technical standard
    • Understanding the system architecture and technical goals of the product
    • Follow the development process (source control, branching, testing, etc.) without assistance
    • Actively troubleshoot issues and assist with complex support queries that require further analysis
    • Taking part in team rituals such as stand-ups, planning sessions, demos and retrospectives
    • Taking part in team activities such as collaborative development and code reviews
    • Taking part in cross-team activities such as knowledge-sharing and documentation
    • Building relationships with all other teams in the product development department

    Essential Criteria

    • A Degree or Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related area, or equivalent years of experience.
    • Demonstrable experience in .Net (C#, ASP.Net, Core, MVC, Razor Views)
    • Demonstrable experience in JavaScript (Native / Typescript / JQuery)
    • Demonstrable experience in NX/Angular or similar technologies.
    • Demonstrable experience in SQL (Microsoft SQL Server)

    Advantageous Criteria

    • Experience using cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure, API Management tools, Key Vault, Encryption)
    • Experience in writing Unit Tests (NUnit, xUnit, Jasmine)
    • Experience in working with Micro-Service architecture/patterns
