    IT Helpdesk Agent - The Capital Support Office

    Description

    • The main purpose of this role is to offer first line helpdesk and desktop support to 13 different sites

    The ideal candidate should:

    • Be a well-groomed, punctual and approachable individual with excellent people-skills
    • Have an interest in the IT Industry 
    • Have good time managements skills
    • Be good at problem solving, diagnosing and troubleshooting
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
    • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
    • Ability to adapt to change
    • Willingness to learn
    • Perform well under pressure
    • Must have good attention to detail
    • Problem solving skills
    • Customer service skills and an ability to work with customers of varying levels
    • Responding to & closing tickets within the required service level targets
    • Provisioning equipment and software for new/existing team members
    • Expected to keep up with technology, learn new systems the Company implements
    • Assist the IT team with any tasks necessary
    • Must have experience building/disassembling a PC and reinstalling software (MS Windows and Office Packages)

    Minimum Requirements 

    • Matric 
    • A+ and N+ Certification 
    • Driver’s license and own transport 
    • 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar role (advantageous but not required)
    • Working in shifts including some weekends, this is not a normal 8am - 5pm position

    Night Auditor - The Capital Menlyn Maine

    Description

    • The Night Auditor checks front office accounting records for accuracy and on a daily basis summarizes and compiles information for the hotels financial records. The Night Auditor tracks room revenue, occupancy percentages and other front office operating statistics.
    • In addition, the incumbent will prepare a summary of cash, cheque and credit card activities, reflecting the hotel’s financial performance for the day. They post room charges and room taxes to guest accounts including guest transactions not posted during the day by the front office cashier.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Matric
    • Hospitality Qualification or Similar
    • 2 – 3 years previous experience as a night auditor
    • Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets and financial reports
    • Well versed in an HMS system (Protel/Mews advantageous)
    • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently

    Handyman - The Capital on Bath

    Description:

    • The Handyman ensures a smooth and consistent resolution to maintenance issues logged during a shift and via verbal instructions. Areas of responsibility include: Security, Pools, Grounds, Hotel Rooms and any other area of the Hotel. The role will include general DIY and maintenance including basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Matric
    • 1 – 2 Year previous Handyman/Maintenance experience
    • Additional qualifications within the field advantageous (Salary Dependent)
