    Job Description & Summary

    About the role
    We are looking for a candidate to fulfil a dual role, performing administrative tasks as well as assisting with client deliverables on our audit engagements. If you are currently studying towards an accounting accreditation, this is the role for you. 


    Essential skills and experience
    0 -1  years related experience gained in a professional environment

    • Proficient in use of MS Word (Advanced), Excel, Power Point and google office suite;
    • Pro-active and able to use own initiative;
    • Pay attention to detail;
    • Ability to interact with clients, managers and partners professionally;
    • Good writing and typing skills; 
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills; 
    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information; 
    • Reliable, motivated, results-orientated, able to work under pressure, able to multi-task;
    • Team player; 
    • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines


    Required qualifications

    Studying towards an accounting degree or diploma

    Experience required:

    Two years’ relevant experience in Caseware and / or accounting

    Responsibilities of role:

    • Receive requests for financial statement preparation (small companies, trusts and CC’s) and review the input for accuracy and completeness;

    • Performing limited accounting functions for a portfolio of clients, including preparation of  working papers;

    • Prepare financial statements using CWWP (Caseware Working Papers);

    • Financial statement preparation using Excel as and when required;

    • Perform critical self-review;

    • Work within budget allocations;

    • Uphold the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct.

    • General administration

    Skill sets required:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills;

    • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus;

    • Ability to work under pressure;

    • Able to work as part of a team as well as independently;

In joining, you’ll help ensure a complete and relevant exchange of information among our consultants and in turn with engagement teams and clients, provide experts advice on a variety of specific topics, support engagement teams in resolving complex issues, and supporting clients and their subsidiaries in evaluating the potential impact of accounting and reporting standard setting initiatives.
