    Sourcing Specialist - Menswear

    Introduction

    • Contribute towards the development of Sourcing and Supplier Strategy. Identify appropriate factories/suppliers/regions and manage the sourcing of product options aligned to the sourcing and product strategies.

    Job description

    • Contribute to the development of the Sourcing and Supplier Strategy​
    • Analyse and review Supplier performance scorecards (quality, OTIF, innovation and sustainability)​
    • Review trends on Supplier delivery to financial KPIs​
    •  Identify opportunities for new Suppliers to close Supplier gaps/risks​.
    • Consolidate inputs from Heads of Planning, Buying and Design on Product Category Strategy​
    • Identify Suppliers that meet the Business Innovation and Sustainability targets​.
    • Conduct Supplier Engagement, Communication and Performance Management​
    • Lead end-to-end Supplier onboarding, engagement, and communication processes​.
    • Create and issue requests for samples (only for Concept and Development Samples before costs are confirmed, and for In-Season Trade / Trend Updates) ​
    • Mitigate any issues that may arise on the request and receipt of physical samples​.
    • Conduct Supplier Performance conversations, identify performance issues and implement corrective actions
    • Evaluate Supplier compliance with sustainability and ethics standards​.
    • Conduct Costing and Supplier Negotiation​
    • Conduct product costings based on Tech Pack inputs from Technical Product Development​
    • Ensure an in-dept understanding of the Product aesthetic and technical requirements​.
    • Manage Requests for Quote​
    • Conduct Supplier negotiations to ensure the achievement of required financial KPIs – partner up with Buying on new Product Concepts / Volume Inputs / Inputs​
    • Finalise cost, obtain approval on quotes and handover Formula / Development Style with Preferred Quote to Buying​
    • Perform Capacity Planning and Management throughout the Season​
    • Consolidate the required inputs from Planning​.
    • Perform Capacity Planning and ensure that volume flows and drops are successfully communicated with Suppliers
    • Continuously engage with Suppliers, track shipment and ensure that adjustments and updates are executed on during trade​.
    •  Manage Strategy Execution and Issue Resolution​
    • Implement and manage Seasonal Trading Plans in conjunction with Planning and Buying, and work with Suppliers to revise and update production plans​.
    • Monitor Supplier Strategy Execution, identify deviations from strategy, address issues with Supplier, Planning and Buying Teams ​
    • Oversee order management and product tracking, promptly communicating changes or delays to Group Planning and Buying Teams to achieve On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) targets
    • Participate in relevant Trade Meetings to gain insights into trading actions that need to be executed​.

    Minimum requirements

    • 8 years or more Buying/Sourcing/Technical retail experience in a Clothing environment and/or
    • Relevant business degree / diploma in Textiles, Fashion, Clothing product management
    • Understanding of the International and South African clothing industry.
    • Proven experience in Supplier negotiations

    Finance Assistant II - Treasury

    Introduction

    • Manage the timeous processing of banking information into Recon Assist. Provide support to stores and bank in this regard.

    Job description

    • Ensure all automated bank worksheets have been updated in ReconAssist daily.
    • Liaise with the bank (cash centres) regarding outstanding worksheets and resolve issues which arise including exception management.
    • Monitor and resolve queries on SMC.
    • Ensure that all store cash management are closed weekly.
    • Ensure that all stores float and bag report is completed daily.
    • Authorize float requisitions.
    • Prepare, distribute and follow up on the Float and Rebank diagnostic reports.
    • Advise G4S and SBSA regarding the opening & closing stores.
    • Prepare Float GL bank recons and related journals.
    • Process journals for relevant recons
    • Assist stores with any Standard Bank and G4s (CIT) queries.
    • Perform ad-hoc administration duties.

    Minimum requirements

    TECHNICAL SKILLS:

    • Basic Accounting certificate and 1-year relevant industry experience
    • Computer literacy – Excel
    • Sound understanding of Accounting Systems eg, ReconAssist, Oracle
    • Basic understanding of accounting practices

    Regional Manager: Protein Counters - Butchery And Seafod

    Introduction

    • To manage our Joint Venture partners who run our service counters being Butchery Counters & Seafood Counters to ensure a world class butchery & seafood product offering with exceptional customer service in our Woolworths stores within the Gauteng Region. To provide leadership and direction to maximise sales and minimise losses through outstanding customer care (including technical product knowledge) within designated departments, while contributing to the overall performance of our Protein Counters, ensuring chain store image and disciplines are adhered to in the Gauteng Region

    Job description

    • Drive sales and ensure product availability by working with internal and external parties
    • Identify lost opportunities.
    • Be able to travel as required between Gauteng & Cape Town & KZN Regions to benchmark protein service counters & improve ways of working with stores & Joint Venture partners.
    • Assist and resolve all issues being experienced by our Joint Venture partners in running the Butchery & Seafood service departments.
    • Co-ordinate all service counter in-store promotions
    • Ensure the right product reaches the right stores timeously
    • Liaise with prepacked Meat & Seafood departments on the planning and implementation of like-for-like matching promotions between counters and prepacked product ranges.
    • Lead the opening of all new service counters.
    • Develop relationships with store management to ensure integration between Woolworths & Joint Venture partners.
    • Develop regional store structure for the butchery and seafood service counters.
    • Monitor and report via Comp Shops on competitors’ activities with regard to price of products, etc.
    • Develop Service Level Agreements with our Joint Venture partners
    • Update and maintain operational manuals

    Minimum requirements

    • Ability to drive our mission to become the iconic Butchery and Seafood Counter destination by offering our customers a fantastic fresh market experience with best butchery and seafood, quality standards, innovation, and service.
    • Meat & Seafood Product knowledge including meat & seafood legislation.
    • Customer obsessed & orientation.
    • Strong leadership skills to lead WW Regional Managers & Joint Venture Suppliers & WW Divisional & WW Stores teams to execute our strategy.
    • Relevant commercial / retail qualification
    • 3-5 years of commercial / retail / butchery / fresh meat and seafood production experience, including cutting skills
    • A valid (code 08) driver’s license is essential and able to travel nationally across South Africa to manage our Protein Counters nationally.

    • Basic financial management skills with understanding factors influencing a product cost & value
    • Knowledge of store operations, customer profiles, locations and competitors
