    JPM Payments - FIG Sales – SSA Payments – Vice President / Executive Director – Based in Johannesburg

    Job Description

    The SSA FIG Sales role is part of the MEA FIG Sales coverage team looking after Financial Institutions and Non-Bank Financial Institutions based in Johannesburg. Responsibilities include managing existing client relationships, building new business and penetrating new clients and segments through the Payments value proposition and product suite. The team works closely with the Global Corporate Bank and all other lines of business to manage bank-wide client relationships.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Responsible for actively managing an assigned client portfolio, selling core Treasury Services and Trade Finance products - primarily cash management, liquidity and trade finance services - to Financial Institutions and Public Sector clients in select Sub-Saharan countries.
    • Responsible for identifying opportunities for new business from both existing and prospective new clients in the region and following up on each opportunity.
    • Manage the entire sales process from selling to full implementation (including proposal issuance, pricing negotiation, documentation and coordinating product partners / implementation teams).
    • Responsible to coordinate among the wholesale kyc on-boarding team, local and regional compliance, and banking coverage teams to ensure that each client is meeting JP Morgan’s AML, KYC, risk and financial institutions control standards.  Coordinates periodic calls and meetings between JP Morgan and each client to review and update on onboarding, KYC, AML, risk and control assessments on each client.
    • Leverage and coordinate closely with the relevant partners (e.g Credit and product partners), the Corporate Bankers, IB and Senior Country Officers to broaden our contacts in current/prospective clients, understand buyer behavior and accelerate the decision-making process.
    • Provide cross LOB support and leadership to help achieve CIB objectives and a holistic approach to client management.
    • Provides periodic updates on sales performance to sales management in Dubai
    • Ensures that sales targets, portfolio growth targets, account plans and other specified project related initiatives are met or exceeded.  Works with product groups to identify new product development initiatives
    • Cross-manage the SSA FIG sales team and work in partnership with Client Service and PSS
    • Responsible for the timely completion of required administrative tasks (KYC, i-meet call activities, input and tracking of deals on Deal Works)
    • Participates as required in external industry forums; ensure market visibility for the Payments franchise

    Experience and Skills:

    Experience:  

    • A proven track record in a sales environment within a financial services organization
    • Knowledge of cash management, liquidity & trade products
    • Knowledge of credit, risk management, KYC and AML in respect of Financial Institutions
    • Prior experience of working with Financial Institutions in the SSA region

    Skills:

    • Strong Interpersonal and selling skills
    • Ability to work on own initiative and meet tight deadlines.
    • An efficient and confident communicator with strong presentation skills
    • Ability to demonstrate a strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
    • Language: English, other language skills related to countries covered will be a plus

    Head of Audit - Vice President

    Job Description

    JPMorgan Chase Internal Audit is an independent function accountable to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, the Office of the Chairman, senior management and our global and local regulators. Internal Audit is comprised of more than 1,000 auditors, located in key locations across the globe, and is responsible for assessing the adequacy of the control environments across the firm's lines of business.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Lead and participate on audit engagements from planning to reporting and produce quality deliverables to both department and professional standards while ensuring audits are completed timely and within budget
    • Work closely with global audit colleagues in the early identification of emerging control issues and reporting them timely to audit management and business stakeholders
    • Recognize the confidential nature of Internal Audit communications and access to information; disciplined in protecting the confidentiality and security of information in accordance with firm policy
    • Partner with stakeholders, business management, other control groups (i.e. risk management, compliance, fraud prevention), external auditors, and regulators establishing strong working relationships while maintaining independence                    
    • Finalize audit findings and use judgment to provide an overall opinion on the control environment through developing recommendations to strengthen internal controls
    • Communicate audit findings to management and identify opportunities for improvement in the design and effectiveness of key controls
    • Implement and execute an effective program of continuous auditing for assigned areas, including monitoring of key metrics to identify control issues and adverse trends
    • Effectively manage teams where required, performing timely review of work performed and providing honest and constructive feedback
    • Stay up-to-date with evolving industry/regulatory changes impacting the business and participate in appropriate control forums

    Qualifications:

    • Extensive experience of internal or external auditing experience, or relevant business experience
    • Bachelor's degree (or relevant financial services experience) required
    • CPA, CIA, and/or Advanced Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred
    • Experience with internal audit methodology and applying concepts in audit delivery and execution
    • Solid understanding of internal control concepts with the ability to evaluate and determine the adequacy of controls by considering business and technology risks in an integrated manner
    • Strong understanding of the local regulation environment and knowledge of, and/or experience with, key regulatory legislation topics such as Basel III and Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Recommendations
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills to present complex and sensitive issues to senior management and influence change
    • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners
    • Strong analytical skills particularly in regard to assessing the probability and impact of an internal control weakness
    • Proven ability to multi task as well as assess and change priorities
    • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, strong interest in learning, effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility/accountability

     Minimum Skills Required: 

    • Able to demonstrate extensive level of experience & knowledge in a sales role focused on providing payments services to large, complex clients

    • A Deep knowledge of payments system rules, ecosystems, products, and services in South Africa
    • An In-depth Knowledge of exchange control regulations and considerations in South Africa

    Proven experience utilizing data and information to drive business results, compelling recommendations and inform effective decision making:
