    Logistics and Supply Chain Administrator

    Your day at NTT DATA

    • The Associate Logistics and Supply Chain Administrator is an entry level role within the Logistics and Supply Chain family, responsible for assisting with the organizations’ supply chain solutions and its optimization, processes, and use of resources. 
    • The primary objective of this role is to support the achievement of cost benefits, delivery reliability and customer satisfaction through the best possible administration of solutions (flow of material, value, information).
    • This role actively supports the execution of the logistics and supply chain strategy that defines the connection and combination of activities and functions throughout the value chain including B2B integration.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provides support with availability of the necessary processes and systems to enable the buying team to execute the everyday activities.
    • Assists the flow of materials, products, services and information.
    • May interact with vendors and clients and intervene when queries from these stakeholders are escalated.
    • Remains involved with the buying process by participating in the delivery of components of the process including the final resolution of problems and queries.
    • Proactively implements the necessary processes to ensure continuous client satisfaction.
    • May be involved in the pre-sales processes and/or successes to ensure growth within the assigned portfolio.
    • Works closely with internal stakeholders to assist with the creation of the best solution design for the client and develop procedures and systems for commercial supply chain projects ensuring commercial readiness.
    • Assists with any other relevant task as requested by management.

    Knowledge and Attributes:

    • Display attention to detail and the ability to manage work processes.
    • Possess knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures.
    • Good client service orientation and good relationship building skills.
    • Display an analytical orientation and ability to identify mechanisms for improved service delivery.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Possess an understanding of the client’s business needs and the associated company delivery model.

    Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

    • Information Technology certification or a related field.
    • Relevant Supply Chain and Logistics experience.
    • Should be able to manage logistics admin and physical aspects of the job.
    • Strong background in Active Directory.
    • ITIL foundation
    • Strong Excel knowledge and experience.

    Required experience:

    • Entry level experience relevant to the field within a large scale (preferably multi- national) technology services environment.
    • 3-5 years of worked experince in the same or similar role
    • Entry level experience in service delivery within a supply chain environment.

    • Deep understanding of modern performance philosophies (e.g., continuous feedback, growth mindset, coaching culture).
    • A scalable mindset with a passion for driving consistency across complex, global environments.
    • The ability to translate business needs into global frameworks that work across geographies and functions
    • Strong knowledge of performance management practices.

    Senior Solutions Architect

    • The primary responsibility of the Senior Solutions Architect is to consult with the client and work with internal teams to create strategies, transformational designs and the architectural vision for solutions that address the clients’ needs. They provide multi-technology consulting services on all aspects of application software, infrastructure (where needed to support applications) and related technology components.
    • Currently NTT DATA have a variety of client offers that have been matured globally for sale into the South Africa Region. We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to become versed in the technical aspects of these client offers and be the local subject matter expert that liaises with the global teams, to bring these solutions to clients in South Africa.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Accountable for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution.
    • Create and contribute to the development of proposed solutions to the client requirements
    • Support sales and business development team members, as the technical expert on the solutions domain you own
    • Identifies and evaluates alternative architectures and/or applications and the trade-offs in cost, performance and scalability.
    • Produces specifications of cloud-based or on-premises components, tiers and interfaces, for translation into ‘quote ready’ designs using selected services and products.
    • Creates reports and technology roadmaps and shares knowledge and insights with clients and others.
    • Creates multiple design views to address the concerns of the different stakeholders of the architecture and to handle both functional and non-functional requirements, including proof of concept (POC).
    • Operate across both the technical levels within the enterprise architecture and the value chain in order to develop holistic and integrated solutions.

    Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

    • Extensive knowledge of one or more hyper-scaler applications and/or infrastructure capabilities
    • Demonstrable knowledge and skill around integrations for cloud-based applications
    • Specialist knowledge on the full application lifecycle management for specific applications, in line with relevant industry standard methodologies and frameworks
    • Ability to develop and leverage specialist knowledge of reference architectures across industry verticals – any one of the following: FSI, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Retail
    • Extensive experience in creating client proposals for services associated with applications management, enhancement or implementation
    • Extensive experience in creating work breakdown structures to estimate effort for services associated with applications management, enhancement or implementation
    • Experience in identifying the correct commercial model for the relevant service offers and transforming the work breakdown into a client ready commercial offer
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
    • Ability to maintain knowledge of trends and development in technology domains

    Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

    • Qualification in Information Technology or Information Systems
    • Working knowledge of ITIL or qualification
    • Working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman, SOA, ITIL, COBIT, etc.)
    • Project Management experience or qualification (Prince 2; other)
    • Any certifications on hyper-scaler applications e.g. Microsoft, AWS, Other

    Required Experience:

    • Advanced professional technical, IT or Operations experience within a large scale (preferably multi- national) technology services environment on the following areas: Software Development, Application Support and Application Enhancement services
    • Project Management experience would be preferred but not essential
    • Advanced client engagement and consulting experience coupled with solid experience in client needs assessment and change management
    • Advanced experience in integrating the solution for the particular project with the business domain, enterprise concerns, industry standards, established patterns and best practices
    • Experience working in an application services field
