To conduct follow-up and/or psychosocial activities in the sex worker community by providing current accurate health information and linkage to care. Provide health care counselling and guide for testing services in non-clinical sites linking screening of TB and STI.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12/matric HIV/AIDS Counselling Certificate – minimum 10-day course, which is not older than 2 years from the date of issue, or with a certificate for a 2-day refresher course from an accredited provider
- Minimum 1-year work experience in the sex industry or experience as a case manager
- Drivers licence will be advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures fast-tracking referrals from teams in order to assess and provide direct psychosocial support to sex workers
- Provides appropriate interventions and/or referrals based on the needs arising
- Conducts home visits for patients when required, particularly those lost to follow-up
- Provides onsite and/or telephonic post-initiation and adherence counselling to link clients to treatment and retain them in care
- Conducts and facilitates monthly adherence clubs and other appropriate support groups to improve ART and PrEP retention
- Informs sex workers of eligibility criteria for social support and disability grants
- Records and maintains accurate and detailed client’s information and interventions and keeps statistics in order to submit as required Assists clients with appropriate referrals for other issues related to psychosocial, (e.g. paralegal, rape, trafficking, substance abuse, etc.)

Purpose of the position:

Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop an outline of presentation in TB/HIV service provision
- Coordinate visits screenings to sex work community on outreach with collaborating organisation team
- Maintain relations with DOH managers by providing feedback on number of clients seen at sites
- Mobilise with team in walk and talk programmes - distribution of pamphlets
- Work with the Peer Educators to mobilise sex workers to understand the importance of knowing their HIV status and access HIV testing services
- Order monthly stock of medications needed for Wellness and HCT programmes, ensure there are no stock outs
- Conduct physical examination and proper history taking of clients seen on the mobile.

Purpose of the position:

This person will be responsible for running the on-the-ground, day-to-day operations and needs in the district of deployment.
