    Service Team Leader - Depot Operations

    We are hiring immediately for a Service Team leader supports the Service Centre Manager by leading and coordinating the depot based teams and operations.

    Role Overview: 

    • The Service Team Leader is the deputy to the Service Centre Manager. They will support the Service Centre Manager deliver all activities within their assigned service center(s), delivering positive operational performance results, and leading & coordinating the operations teams, primarily made up of technicians.
    • The role has direct responsibility for Customer service delivery and the coordination and facilitation of core operations activities in the service centers.

    What you’ll do:

    Safety – Supports SCM to deliver:

    • Local HSE Rep - drives safety performance & accountability
    • Ensures that facilities & work areas are safe, clean & GSCS Compliant
    • Deputizes for SCM to conduct daily toolbox & Safety meetings.

    People Management – Supports SCM to deliver:

    • Assumes the lead for Service Centre Recruitment – Tech 2 & below
    • Supports Service execution delivery to customer service levels
    • Shares Accountability for technician supervision & scheduling
    • Ensures optimal team performance and capability by providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, development and corrective action.
    • Manages all aspects of their team along with the SCM
    • Maintains staffing to shop & field technician deployment guidelines.

    Fleet Management – Supports SCM to deliver:

    • Ensures on time maintenance, availability & reliability of asset pre delivery and during operation. Equipment Transfer requests & ensure equipment is ‘green carded’ & functional for deployment
    • Ensures accuracy of available asset and inventory yard based, Parts supply and core returns, as well as service material costs by budget or KPI
    • Accountable for the appropriate & timely deployment of fleet & staff.

    Commercial Management – Supports SCM to deliver:

    • Owns local financial admin tasks within & external to Service Centre
    • Drives business standards & cost controls to ensure profitability.
    • Technician overtime vs. forecasts / budgets
    • Subcontractor & temp labor spends vs. forecast / budget
    • Test & turn spend & Inventory variances.
    • Technician travel spend & Consumables spend.
    • Labor recovery details
    • Credit & standdown detailed review
    • Change order review
    • Monthly review and ownership of the above controllable costs
    • Owns procurement within the Service Centre

    Facility Management

    • Manages necessary Administration process and allocates accordingly between SCM and the wider Service Centre Team
    • Responsible for ensuring compliance with GSCS standards
    • Requisitions and reports receipt of supplies, parts, and fleet.
    • Executes customer contracts & delivers service to Aggreko Standards.
    • Ensures effective adherence to policies & procedures
    • Acts as secondary contact for ARM alarms
    • Executes tasks per the monthly operations calenda

    You’ll have the following skills and experience: 

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Minimum 5 years of Operational leadership roles
    • Good mechanical and electrical technical knowledge

    Role Overview: 

    • This opportunity is for a self-motivating, high energy individual with excellent business development and negotiation skills. This individual must have a good understanding of the Southern African mining industry and its different relevant role players.
    • To ensure the successful roll-out of projects, a good understanding of project management and attention to detail is required with excellent people skills.

    What you’ll do:

    • Build a robust sales pipeline and forecast that will yield future profitable revenue/ EBITDA streams.
    • Execute strategic Sales Plan with clear objectives and planned activity; expand business portfolio by winning good quality deals; regularly report progress.
    • Work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues including bid managers, Engineering, Pricing, Legal and other specialists, and following agreed protocols (“Deal Clinic”, White Paper et al) build and present “Value Propositions”.
    • Proactively provide industry and market intelligence to the wider Aggreko community.
    • Deliver all required reports, forecasts, and CRM updates in a timely manner.
    • Do proper hand-over to the project execution team with excellent attention to details.

    You’ll have the following skills and experience: 

    • Business & Commercial acumen: understands the industry, market trends, customer behavior and competitors; able to construct high value complex proposals.
    • Sales expertise - know how to work a sales pipeline, manage, and forecast sales that will lead to revenue growth and build relationships with clients.
    • Product/ technology - The experience required to understand and articulate how Aggreko’s products and services match customer applications.
    • Communication & Interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; ability to build strong relationships with clients, industry partners and other stakeholders; able to collaborate well internally.
    • Data & Analytical skills: able to analyze sales data and using it to make informed decisions that can improve sales performance; analyze key performance indicators and conducting market research are essential to the job.
    • Project Management: able to handle multiple projects at once, prioritize workloads and manage tight timelines.
