    Compliance Guidance Officer

    Key Purpose

    • The Health Compliance sub-pillar within Product Compliance is looking for a great person to join the team as a Compliance Guidance Officer to assist the Discovery Health group to effectively and efficiently manage its responsibility to comply with all the regulatory requirements and minimise the compliance risks identified in business.

    Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

    • Assist management to define, set and manage the compliance framework, policies and standards specific to the function.
    • Assist management with identification and evaluation of compliance exposures/regulatory breaches.

    Actuarial Analyst

    Key Purpose

    • The primary focus would be, from a systems and actuarial point of view, to investigate and resolve issues encountered on Discovery systems, ensuring that the product and business rules are adhered to, and continuously improving and optimising processess. This position is crucial in ensuring that the existing products are functioning at a level that meets policyholder expectations, and that the integrity of the products remain intact. The role is unique as it acts as a bridge between the purely actuarial product development teams and the physical implementation on the system. It contributes a unique combination of actuarial and IT skills to the product development team. A major part of this role is to balance the pressures of client expectations with the defined product rules, and to coordinate a resolution from an actuarial, and a systems perspective.

    Key Purpose of the role

    • To support the building of solid relationships with DFC (tied agency distribution force) and DCS (independent advisors) Franchises and their Consultants and Brokers. To provide these entities with support including product, industry knowledge and technical training. To further assist with servicing, marketing tactics and training in order to drive new business.     Data Scientist

    Key Purpose

    • The purpose of this managerial role is to lead the delivery of Agentic AI initiatives within the Data Science Lab, with accountability for translating high-value operational and clinical opportunities into safe, scalable, measurable AI-enabled products. The role will focus primarily on agentic workflows that combine large language models, structured data, retrieval, business rules, human-in-the-loop controls and integration with Discovery systems.

    Business Analyst

    Key Purpose  

    • Within the Health Benefit Solutions area, the Business Analyst must work to understand the overall business need, define the requirements, document the requirements using various approaches such as use cases then decompose the requirements to a sufficient level of detail allowing the implementation team to take action.

    About the Role

    Health Coach

    Key purpose
    To effectively coach eligible members in various programs ensuring that:

    • The coaching program outcomes and objectives are achieved.
    • Members achieve sustainable health and lifestyle improvements in addition to their personal key objectives.

    Key outputs

    • Applying various coaching techniques to allocated members to ensure program and personal goals are achieved
    • Building positive relationships to ensure successful outcomes
    • Effective planning and organizing of schedules and sessions to optimize program adherence and completion rates.
    • Assist members with benefi t navigation, referrals and activations to optimize benefi ts available to them under their scheme and non-scheme products.
    • Health and Lifestyle education, tracking and monitoring to achieve sustainable improvements.
    • Educate members on how to manage certain chronic diseases to avoid relapses, hospital admissions and disease progression with the necessary referral to the relevant health care professional and other therapeutic interventions.
    • Accurate tracking, reporting and capturing of coaching sessions.
    • Meeting set targets: productivity, quality, customer satisfaction scores.
    • Calling eligible members to enroll into the various coaching programmes
    • Keeping up to date with industry updates and developments
    • Applying professional verbal and written communication skills required through all coaching interactions with members.
