    Data and AI Architect

    Purpose of the job

    • The job is responsible to support SITA clients by designing Modern Data Platform and Analytics solutions. This will include to serve as a functional expert on projects, contributing to use case development, assessments, technical architecture, AI & IoT initiatives and help to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and return on investment.

    Key Responsibility Area

    • Provide project teams with effective leadership on projects. Guide and monitor the implementation of Data and AI architectures.
    • Deliver feasibility and cost-benefit analysis, including choice of application architecture to enhance the overall application development process.
    • Lead, design, and develop/customise and integrate complex systems.
    • Planning, executing and managing the data architecture of new applications into existing systems throughout the organisation.
    • Design and Drive reusable assets, growing Analytics and DevOps capability.
    • Develop and implement the technology lifecycle management strategy and tender specifications.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum: 3-Year National Diploma / Degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science /Information Technology/ Data Science - at least NQF level 6 or a verified / certified alternative equivalent @ NQF Level 6.
    • Experience: 8 - 9 Years practical experience e in the ICT field, including IT Governance, IT Planning, system development/procurement, implementation and maintenance/enhancements of integrated solutions across multiple hardware and software platforms with senior operational responsibility in a large corporate/public sector organisation including: Extensive experience in software development in multiple platforms. Extensive experience within Applications Technical solution design in multiple business domains. Extensive Experience in integration. extensive experience in data management. The following experience will be an added advantage Experience in DevOps and Agile Methodologies. Experience in applications modernisation in the development and delivery of Data & AI solutions and business technology solutions to client organizations.

    Lead Consultant: Solution Architect X4

    Purpose of the job

    • To perform the solution analysis and architecture in order to design, develop / procure, package, release and maintain/enhance solutions, in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government. This includes the analysis and design required for the development of enterprise Solution Architecture and the integration thereof with the other applicable Enterprise Architecture domains (Information Architecture, Application Architecture, and Technology Architecture).

    Key Responsibility Area

    • Manage, develop and implement strategies and road maps to ensure that comprehensive and integrated solutions are provided to SITA clients.
    • Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of governance and monitor the adherence thereto to deliver quality products in a controlled environment.
    • Create contextual, conceptual, logical and physical Solution Architecture and direct and quality assure solution and software development.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of Architectural mechanisms to improve interoperability of government systems.
    • Programmes/projects management, development/ procurement and maintenance of projects to meet service delivery commitments.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum: 3 Year National Diploma/Bachelors degree in an ICT related field.
    • Experience: 8 - 9 years’ experience in the ICT field, including solution analysis, development, and architecture with leadership, general management, operational responsibility in a large corporate/public sector organisation including: 5 years’ experience in solution analysis, development, and architecture for the development, implementation, and maintenance/enhancements of systems within the corporate/public sector, including: Strategic thinking and leadership abilities Successfully developed and implemented applications Demonstrated project management competency and the execution of multiple projects, including managing resources across multiple projects and Developed efficient and effective IT solutions to diverse and complex business problems.

    Junior Business Analyst

    Purpose of the job

    • To provide support on ICT projects in business analysis and solution design through the elicitation, gathering, validating, and documenting various system and business information and needs, using accredited methodologies and supporting software with the objective of improving and automating business processes.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    • Analyse and elicit business needs (customer).
    • Analyse business processes, including recognition of the potential for automation, assessment of the costs and potential benefits of the new approaches considered.
    • Conduct system Testing.
    • Monitor requirements.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Technical Competencies Description

    • Knowledge of: ICT legislation, policies and ICT standards, Business Process Management, Business Analysis Body of Knowledge, Data Management, Systems Analysis, ICT Supply Management practices, Information System Security, Project Management, Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF, MODAF, GWEA), Testing methodologies, Corporate Governance of ICT, SDLC Development tools and Methodologies, Implementation and Integration Methodologies, Commercial of the Shelf (COTS) products, and Open-Source Software (OSS) products.

    End User Computing Technician x2

    Purpose of the job

    • To provide remote and onsite LAN and Desktop technical support to Workstations and Network infrastructure, ensuring that the clients requirements are always met and their expectations exceeded.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    • Provide first and second level LAN & desktop support.
    • Install and configure new IT equipment.
    • Implementation, customisation and maintenance of the remote software deployment.
    • Provide support to the enterprise’s local IT and software resources.
    • Provide LAN & desktop advisory services to clients.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum: Grade 12 PLUS National Higher Certificate in IT (NQF Level 5) with A+/N+ either as a subject of the Certificate OR as a separate certification (expiry irrelevant).
    • Experience: At least one-year corporate experience in the Service Management / End User Support Environment, OR Call Centre Agent experience with 1 – 2 years relevant experience in the End User Computing services and related LAN Infrastructures Services. Maintenance and support service of the End User Computing Services relating to all LAN Infrastructure Services such as servers, desktops, LAN cabling, switches and other LAN peripherals. Maintenance and support to ensure the availability of the services according to prescribed procedures, policies, standards and SLA’s. Ensure the resolution of hardware and software service requests, incidents and problem within End User Computing and all related LAN infrastructure.

    Technical Competencies Description

    • Knowledge of: Desktop operating systems and application. Network cabling and telephony system. Security software and hardware. Technical support and maintains of the application system(s), hardware and software End User Computer and LAN infrastructure principles and topology, Internet protocols, services. Routing and switching technologies. ITIL. Procedure, Policies and standards.

    Purpose of the Job:

    Technical Competencies Description

    • Has a thorough knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and business aspects of the application(s) supported. A good knowledge of technical aspects of the application system(s) and the hardware and software environment(s) in which they run. Good understanding of the client business processes policies and/or business operations. Analyse the current business processes and scenarios of the client and recommend/develop solutions to meet the clients’ needs. Acts as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyse, and solve software problems and map client business requirements, processes and objectives. Perform functional user acceptance/system testing against the test plan to ensure optimal functionality of the application. Providing advice to users on the application systems’ functionality to ensure optimal functionality of applications. Provide specialised services and integrated solutions to applications area within a discipline to functional needs/requirements to ensure optimal usage of the application. Provide management information support solutions to clients and management to assist them in planning and decision making. Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills. Ability to implement and monitor methodologies, processes, procedures, standards, and productivity and quality management. Information System experience will be an advantage. The successful candidate should also possess the following behavioural competencies: Leadership ability, customer service orientated, innovative, team player, pro-active, diligent worker, process orientated and punctual.
