    Commercial Assistant (Marketing)

    Company Description

    A leading export farming concern is recruiting for a Commercial Assistant (Marketing) in the Groblersdal area. 

    Job Description

    • Captures data for forex reporting

    • Updates and maintains marketing statistics

    • Updates and maintains pack instructions

    • Prepares and updates shipping report

    • Prepares documentation for shipping containers

    • Processes commercial invoices and packing lists 

    • Updates financial figures for actual vs budget variance analysis

    • Captures budgets as prepared by management

    • Allocates revenue per client

    • Reviews debtors

    • Processes royalties - Citrus and Grapes

    • Raises requistions 

    • Forwards invoices for payment to creditors

    • Captures Frudata information

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Qualifications : Diploma in Marketing/Relevant field

    • Minimum Experience: At least 5 years in a similar role

    • Must be proficient in Microsoft office, Excel, and QX

    Head General Farm Manager - Table Grapes

    Company Description

    A leading export farming concern is recruiting for a Head General Farm Manager in the Groblersdal area. This position will be responsible for the Production of export quality fruit.

    Job Description

    • Issues verbal and written instructions to production labour teams

    • Completes forms and documents

    • Manages time and attendance for labour teams

    • Identifies and operates a number of different tools

    • Supervises, checks and corrects work

    • Trains labour teams

    • Reads and plans work programmes

    • Evaluates labour productivity

    • Identifies and reports potential safety and security issues

    • Uses own judgement to manage staff

    • Estimates and schedules labour

    • Inputs into costs and budgets - has knowledge of prices and quantities

    • Manages irrigation programmes

    • Manages fertilizer programmes

    • Manages pest control programmes

    • Manages weed and fungus control programmes

    • Estimates harvest per hectare

    • Understands basic HR 

    • Monitors use of and knows how to use farming equipment and machinery

    • Supervises all steps of the production process including planting, fertilizing, harvesting, and packing

    • Supervises the packhouse 

    • Manages packhouse labour

    • Selects and employs labour

    • Manages labour discipline

    • Makes recommendations to senior management based on observations in the field

    • Reports against budget 

    • Trains Production Managers

    • Coordinates all production activities

    • Selects and procures supplies, chemicals, fertlizers and other production goods

    • Calculates and implements programmes

    Qualifications

    • Higher Diploma/Degree in Agriculture

    • At least 5 years in a similar role with a very good understanding of Grapes agriculture

    Payroll Administrator

    Company Description

    A leading export farming concern is recruiting for a Payroll Administrator in the Groblersdal area. 

    Job Description

    • Processes wages payroll by capturing time and attendance and adjustments on the time and attendance software.

    • Prepares third party payments such as medical aid, garnishees, provident fund.

    • Prepares and processes all staff loans and deductions.

    • Updates all employee information on the payroll system and makes changes per production requirements

    • Checks exception reports and makes necessary corrections

    • Prepares and processes end of contracts/terminations and changes in employee status

    • Reconciles and monitors creche expenditure

    • Maintains and updates employee information (including employee details, leave, study)

    • Maintains relationships with individuals necessary in the conduct of duties

    • Updates and maintains employee information and personnel files with all required documentation and information

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Qualifications : Matric Certificate 

    • Minimum Experience: At least 2 years transactional payroll processing

    • SAGE People 300 experience essential

    • Valid Drivers licence

    • Awareness of Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Skills Development Act and other relevant legislation
