    • Conducting as many high-quality survey interviews as possible with residents who meet screening criteria and accurately capturing their responses

    Requirements

    Minimum requirements:

    • National Senior Certificate or equivalent

    Data Engineer (Fixed Term)

    Description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Designing and constructing a data warehouse that integrates data from multiple sources to produce a comprehensive dataset covering the Party’s campaign activity
    • Developing ETL pipelines to populate the data warehouse
    • Designing and building dashboards, visualisation and other BI tools to inform the campaign management and guide decision-making
    • Producing adhoc reports and data queries as needed 
    • Collaborating with other members of the development team to design and develop software systems related to voter and campaign data

    Requirements

    Minimum requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or similar qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field
    • 5 years’ experience in software development
    • Experience with data warehouses  
    • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools 
    • Software systems design and architecture experience
    • In depth knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL advantageous) 
    • MongoDB experience (advantageous)

    Communications Officer

    Description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Facilitating the delivery of all DA communication to the media
    • Writing high-quality press releases and media advisories, often under tight deadlines
    • Monitoring developments in the media to advise on this
    • Assisting with the planning and coordination of media events
    • Supporting the Party’s Sunday media operation
    • Maintaining and updating accurate media databases

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Liaising with software developers, service providers, support contractors and Party structures at provincial and regional level 
    • System monitoring, testing and reporting

    • Managing helpdesk requests and technical queries
    • Requesting and circulating information on the candidate selection process

    Parliamentary Research Manager

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    Managing a team of parliamentary researchers with the aim of providing members of the DA parliamentary caucus with:

    • Quality research and procedural support in Parliament that would effectively drive strategic issues
    • Quality and strategic legislation research and analysis in Parliament
    • Managing the functioning of the Parliamentary Research Unit

    Requirements

    Provincial Communications Manager (Kwazulu Natal)

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Working together with the relevant stakeholders to plan and execute both proactive and reactive, vote-winning communications for the Party
