    Senior Art Director

    Role includes but is not limited to: 

    • Working in a team under the leadership of a Creative Director to conceptualise and execute campaigns based on both client and internal briefs
    • Present work imaginatively and confidently to clients and senior creatives
    • Be skilled in design and conceptualization
    • Someone with the skill set to capture promotional excitement and breakthrough designs for a national fashion retail client.
    • Maintain exceptionally high standards for execution and attention to detail
    • Collaborate and communicate well with the team and other departments
    • Have an eternally positive disposition especially when the going gets rough

    Requirements

    Relevant tertiary qualification

    • At least 5 years’ experience as an Art Director/Conceptual Designer in a large/integrated Advertising Agency
    • At least 5 years’ previous experience in a high-volume environment
    • Experience with digital design across all channels; web design; designing of E-commerce websites; animations and social media.
    • Experience in high-volume environments with fast turnarounds.

    Strong Conceptual Design ability preferred

    • Great presentation skills
    • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • A powerful creative portfolio that demonstrates originality, innovation and problem-solving
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, utilise resources, identify and address problems, meet deadlines, and stay within scope.
    • Strong interpersonal skills; a team player, persuasive negotiator, positive and innovative thinker
    • Maintain high standards for execution and attention to detail.
    • Highly motivated and a high level of initiative; ability to work independently, in support of the agency’s creative goals and the client’s business objectivesative thinker

    Mid-Weight Copywriter

    Our ideal candidate:

    • Has a proven track record of writing for TV, radio and social platforms
    • Able to work across various target markets, platforms and channels
    • Willing to learn and understand retail brands
    • Keeps a cool head and delivers exceptional results under pressure, against fast and tight deadlines and in volume
    • Able to work collaboratively in a team and is resourceful; focused and level-headed
    • Must be Cape Town based and willing to work in office as well as from home

    Requirements

    Minimum relevant experience required:

    • Relevant degree/diploma in Copywriting is a bonus
    • Or can demonstrate Copywriting experience.
    • Relevant years work experience as a Copywriter in an advertising agency (a strong television, radio and social portfolio is required)
    • Solid knowledge/understanding of digital platforms in conjunction with more traditional channels essential
    • Solid working knowledge and understanding of social content including would be a plus:
    • SEO and SEM
    • AdWords
    • Analytics Reporting

    Senior Copywriter

    Summary of main duties:

    • Translate the brief and the strategic requirements into a compelling creative solution
    • Presentation of work to the Creative Group Head and/or Creative Director
    • Be the custodian and creator of the copy, tone and language style of the Client's brand
    • Together with an Art Director, generate effective, innovative and compelling creative concepts for individual ads or campaigns based on sound strategies
    • Pro-actively identify creative digital trends and opportunities
    • Direct and produce effective, impactful and compelling advertising that reflects insight into the task, the brand and the target market
    • Take ownership of your tasks and actively manage the creative process to progress towards deadline

    Requirements

    Qualifications required:

    • Relevant degree/diploma
    • Be proficient in PowerPoint/Keynote, MS Word

    Minimum relevant experience and skills/attributes required:

    • Revelant years’ conceptual copywriting experience within an advertising agency
    • Strong conceptual ability
    • Advanced brand copywriting
    • Attention to detail
    • A solid portfolio that reflects creative copywriting proficiencies – both ATL and Digital work
    • Understanding of advertising as a selling tool  
    • Capability to take on campaigns with multi-element tasks which require a concept and a thought through process
    • Accept guidance and respond well to criticism 
    • Resilient – can accept setbacks 
    • Finely honed copywriting skills and latest techniques
    • Have a great sense of humour
    • Have a basic understanding of writing for SEO and keywords
    • AdWords, Analytics, Reporting
    • Must demonstrate creative insight and brilliance for client solutions across all media platforms
    • Create copy across multiple channels
    • Consistently produce creative elements against a deliverables list 
    • Lead brainstorms and conceptualization
    • Lead the craft and design of an idea
    • Detail-obsessed big thinker, passionate and hard-working, self-motivated team player with the ability to grasp a client's strategy and brand, and deliver beautiful, insightful, polished work
