    Junior Legal Advisor

    Overview    

    • Reporting to the Senior Category Manager (IT and Communications), the incumbent will be responsible for providing guidance on corporate governance, negotiating, and drafting contracts, risk management, and the development of plans and policies. 

    Qualifications    

    • BCom Honours Law or LLB
    • Admitted Attorney is advantageous

    Experience

    Duties    

    • Manage all legal affairs related to the structure of the organisation, its commercial licenses, and commercial law compliance
    • Manage stakeholder relationships with vendors, various legal authorities and external counsel

    Automation Assembly Assistant

    Overview    

    • Responsible for assembling and packaging of explosives accessories through the use of an automated assembly line by preparing assembly components and loading of components into the automated line at the Losberg manufacturing site

    Qualifications    

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • 1 year certificate in a relevant production related qualification

    Experience    

    • 1 year demonstrated experience in the assembly and packaging of explosives accessories through the use of an automated assembly line
    • 1 year demonstrated experience in the application of the required occupational health and safety standards within an explosives environment

    Duties    

    • Ensure that all assembled product conforms to product assembly specification 
    • Meet daily assembly targets
    • Ensure availability and uninterrupted supply of raw materials and components
    • Be able to demonstrate required assembly efficiencies
    • Be able to perform raw material acceptance checks to ensure conformance to quality acceptance criteria

    SHEQ Administrator

    Overview    

    • To provide administrative support for the SHERQ team on data collection and reporting, document control and systems management.                                                       

    Qualifications

    Duties    
    Act as Departmental SHEQ Coordinator:

    • Provide administrative support to the SHERQ Team
    • Ensure financial requirements for the team are completed correctly and timeously
    • Ensure the SHERQ function have adequate supplies of consumables as needed for the team to function on a daily basis
    • Establish and maintain electronic and hardcopy filing systems which will ensure adequate traceability is available for administration functions performed and data can be retrieved quickly and efficiently
    • Capture minutes of meetings, store on relevant platforms and distribute as needed

    Organize meetings & logistical arrangements:

    • Arrange meetings, venues and resources as needed to provide support to SHERQ function

    Data Management:

    • Capture data from various sources and consolidate on data management platforms like MES and IsoMetrix

    • Ensure submitted data is compliant to Group guidelines when reporting in IsoMetrix
    • Create routine reports and communicate to site as needed

    Maintenance Fitter

    Overview    

    • This position will be responsible for the daily maintenance activities at BME’s plant. This person would also be expected to carry minor electrical work when required.

    Qualifications    

    • Grade 12
    • N6/ Diploma (Mechanical)
    • Artisan (Trade Test)

    Experience    

    • 5-8 years demonstrated experience in plant maintenance as an Artisan
    • 5 years demonstrated maintenance experience in a production / explosives environment

    • Attend to all breakdowns
    • Responsible for all daily routine equipment inspections

    • Reduce plant stoppages, breakdowns
