Job Description
The Truck Workshop department currently has a vacancy for a detail orientated, process-driven, dedicated individual to join their team. This position requires someone who is able to work in a fast paced, demanding and pressurized environment.
Our comprehensive in-house technical facilities, staffed by Qualified Engineers and Artisans, are responsible for our fleet and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to breakdowns, inspecting, repairing and maintaining our fleet and equipment.
Qualifying Criteria
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic Red Seal Trade Test certificate
- Code 14 Drivers' License and valid PDP
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Qualified Diesel Technician specializing in truck fleet maintenance

- Scheduling and supervising of fleet – approximately 36 trucks and 12 bakkies

The SA Steelworks Rolling Mill team requires a committed, hardworking and trustworthy Roller to join their team. The Roller is responsible for ensuring high levels of production, high quality standards and that machinery on the roller stands are operating smoothly.
