    Advance: Software Developer

    Key Responsibility Areas 

    • The role will be responsible to execute complex application development, maintenance projects and services and provide innovative solutions and products that resolve challenges of government service delivery.
    • The Advance Software Developer will be responsible for guiding and executing the design, development, and execution of complex services and projects of ICT solutions. 
    • Lead the development of functional requirements that articulate clear and concise project deliverables that are compatible with user expectations 
    • Deliver feasibility and cost-benefit analysis, including choice of application architecture to enhance the overall application development process 
    • Lead, and execute complex software development and customization projects spanning multiple environments to ensure that it is successfully delivered 
    • Lead and develop/ customize complex applications services solutions by studying information needs; consulting with clients, studying systems flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle using SITAs software development stack/ development framework. 
    • Lead and execute maintenance of integrated IT software components using SITAs software development stack/ development framework 
    • Ensure execution of and participate in comprehensive test activities to test program functionality for new and existing applications in compliance with SITA test methods and testing techniques using SITA approved testing tools 
    • Lead, manage and execute packaging and releasing of integrated IT software components in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government
    • Evaluate existing applications responsible for and understand how to modernize.  

    Qualifications and Experience 

    Required Qualification:

    • minimum 3 – 4-year National Higher Diploma / National Degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science /Information Technology or relevant qualification equivalent to NQF Level 6. 
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science /Information Technology or relevant equivalent NQF 
    • Level 7 OR 8 Will be an added advantage. A post graduate qualification OR Bachelor’s Degree in Software 
    • Engineering/ Computer Science /Information Technology or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 OR 8 Will be an added advantage. 
    •  
    • Certification: Vendor certification for applications will be an added advantage. 

    Experience:

    •  A minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in the application/systems development, implementation and maintenance/enhancements of integrated solutions across multiple hardware and software platforms with senior operational responsibility in a large corporate/public sector organization, with minimum of 10 years as Senior Software Developer including: Extensive experience in Mainframe, COBOL IMS, Assembler programming and related software development.
    • Extensive experience within Applications Technical solution design in multiple business domains. Extensive Experience in integration.
    • Extensive experience in CA Harvest, Endevor, Dumpmaster, SmartTest. The following experience will be an added advantage Experience in DevOps and Agile Methodologies Experience in applications modernization.

    System Analyst

    Key Responsibility Areas 

    • Ensure effective and efficient service delivery in accordance with SITA Policy framework. 
    • Adhere to Architectural and Governance mechanisms for the Software Development section to improve interoperability of government systems and quality of services and deliverables. 
    • Deliver services according to project plans and architectural and governance mechanisms to ensure overall compliance and improved service delivery. 
    • Create analysis and design work packages for integrated software components, taking into consideration SITA’s software development stack and doing this in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture Government. 
    • Develop Application Service Specifications for integrated software components in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government. 

    Qualifications and Experience 

    • Minimum: National Diploma / Degree in an ICT related field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology and Engineering) and/or related. 
    • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years experience in the ICT field, including IT Governance, IT Planning, systems development/procurement, implementation and maintenance/enhancements of large integrated solutions across multiple hardware and software platforms with leadership, management, operational responsibility in a large corporate/public sector organization. Including: Experience within solution analysis and design in multiple business domains. Experience within software development on multiple platforms. Experience in integration. Experience in data management. Experience with MS Visio. Experience with Agile Methodologies. Strong technical abilities with excellent communication and problem-solving capabilities.

    Human Capital Business Partner - SITA East London/Bhisho/ King Williams Town

    Key Responsibility Areas 

    • Ensure implementation, measurement and monitoring of Human Capital strategy in order to translate the corporate objectives into measurable action. 
    • Provide strategic interface to divisional management/stakeholders through the provision of high-quality guidance and support in developing and progressing people management solutions to achieve business objectives 
    • Use Human Capital planning to identify people management requirements performance issues and establish credibility as an expert in strategic HR within an operational service 
    • Exert a dynamic influence over stakeholders to establish credibility as an expert in strategic HR within an operational service 
    • Coach, support, mentor and challenge management in the application of HR policies and practices, provide advice and guidance on complex HR issues in order to minimize risk and financial exposure

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Experience: 6 - 7 years working experience as a Human Capital Management Specialist, of which 3 – 4 years is in the managerial / supervisory capacity in a corporate/public sector organisation. Advanced knowledge of human capital policies and processes and how these can enable business performance.

    Senior Manager Cluster (DOD)

    Key Responsibility Area 

    • Manage and drive portfolio of customers in the assigned cluster to determine and assess existing customers’ needs with the desired ICT requirements profile per cluster customer to provide effective solution approach to deliver within existing contractual constraints, policies and SITA commercial service catalogue. 
    • In collaboration with service owners, including senior management and key stakeholders, oversee the implementation of targeted digital products and solutions for each cluster customer. 
    • Build, manage and maintain strategic relationships with Government Departments including delivery partners (i.e. SITA service owners) to continuously sustain the SITA business. 
    • Perform analysis on cluster needs and requirements in collaboration with Business Development team and other internal and external key stakeholders.

    • Keep CRMs abreast of the latest industry developments and appropriate technologies for knowledge management to ensure innovation and improved productivity.

    Qualifications and Experience 

    • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science OR Bachelor Degree in Commerce OR Marketing OR Business Administration OR Economics / B.Tech (NQF 7). 
    • Experience: 8 + years professional experience in the engagement management/ relationship management and or project management at a senior management level of managing IT business inclusive of an experience as Manager in a corporate/public sector organisation. At least 4 years’ experience in the industry or working in a leadership role in a similar industry with proven technical skills to develop ICT solutions.

    Specialist: EUC Information System Security Operations -SITA Numerus

    Key Responsibility Areas 

    • Perform ongoing monitoring of information systems and assess threats and risks to information security. 
    • Coordinate security awareness and training programs to increase employees ' overall understanding, reaction time and the ability to envisage the company's potential safety and compliance requirements. 
    • Perform compliance assessments and vulnerability assessments to ensure government and citizen information is secure. 
    • Attend to all logged security incidents.

    Experience:

    Senior DevOps Engineer - SITA Centurion

    Key Responsibility Area 

    • Lead the design and development of new features for the software systems, and improvement of existing ones. 
    • Implementation, debugging, documentation and release of software solutions in a DevOps Environment.

    • The experience must include experience in solution analysis, design, and development for the development, implementation and maintenance/enhancements of systems within the corporate/public sector, including: Successfully developed and implemented applications using a DevOps Practice, underpinning Agile methodologies.     Key Responsibility Area 

    • Ensure that projects match business needs and requirements, furnish end-user requirements. 
    • Reviews requests for application changes, upgrades, and enhancements to ensure they meet the needs of the business.

    • 3 – 4 Year National Diploma / Degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science /Information Technology or relevant qualification equivalent to NQF Level 6.

    Experience: 

    • A minimum of 8 years in the ICT field, including IT Governance, IT Planning, systems development/procurement, implementation and maintenance/enhancements of integrated solutions across multiple hardware and software platforms with leadership, management, operational responsibility in a large corporate/public sector organisation including: minimum 3 years’ experience in a management/leadership level/role.
    • Experience should include the following: Application Lifecycle Management experience including exposure to Agile methodology, .Net, and Web Services development as an added advantage. Experience with large to very large enterprise environments which include multiple site locations Hands-on technical development experience.
    • Experience in designing, developing, and writing code for programs, reports, interfaces. Experience in preparing technical design, training, and deployment documentation. Extensive experience in interacting with customers. 
    • Experience in the establishment and management of contracts with suppliers will be an added advantage.
