- The Junior Business Development is responsible for supporting sales growth by identifying business opportunities, coordinating tender and proposal activities, maintaining customer and market information, and enabling effective engagement with existing and prospective customers across the OEM On Road, OEM Off Road, Automotive, Distributors and Transport related lubricant market segments.
Activities
Successful incumbent of this role would be required to carry out the following duties and responsibilities:
Business Development and Lead Generation
- Identify and research new business opportunities across target market segments.
- Support prospecting activity through Customer visits, Customer outreach, follow-ups, cold calling, email communication, and social media engagement.
- Maintain visibility of market developments and identify opportunities that support sales growth.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain professional relationships with existing customers, potential customers and act as a key point of contact for enquiries and follow-ups.
- Coordinate engagement with prospective and existing customers, including customer visits and opportunity discussions.
- Ensure customer requirements are captured accurately and communicated to the relevant internal stakeholders.
Lubricant Product Portfolio Support
- Develop and maintain lubricant product portfolio information for OEM heavy-duty on-road, OEM off-road, passenger, transport, and related customer requirements.
- Liaise with Technical and Sales teams to confirm suitable product recommendations, technical data, and product availability.
Tender and Proposal Coordination
- Monitor, obtain, and communicate information on new and existing tenders across OEM trucks, OEM passenger, OEM off-road, and other relevant segments.
- Support tender preparation by coordinating product requirements, technical input, availability, pricing, operational costs, and price proposal approvals.
- Prepare and maintain tender documentation, sales proposals, presentations, tender folders, registers, records, and tender outcome information.
CRM, Reporting, and Sales Administration
- Update and maintain CRM data, prospect pipelines, account notes, customer contact information, and lead activity in Sales Dynamics or relevant sales systems.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports to support sales visibility, pipeline tracking, and management decision-making.
- Maintain agreements, due diligence records, market information, sales support tools, technical data, and product information documents.
Sales and Marketing Coordination
- Coordinate business development, marketing, and sales events that support customer engagement and market development.
- Facilitate regular interaction with internal stakeholders to align business development activity, tender requirements, customer needs, and sales priorities.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a candidate who brings the following experience, capabilities, and qualities to the role:
- Appropriate degree/diploma in sales / business management or administration.
- 4-5 years marketing and sales management experience in the oil or other industries.
- Previous demonstrated experience in managing large OEM/Motor Group accounts at Head office level will be advantageous
- Interacting with customers, and dealers
- Good sales management, negotiation and conflict resolution skills; good analytical and presentation skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of business and legal basics
- OEM and General Trade industry lubricants experience advantageous
- Good knowledge and application of people management and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage documentation, reports, tenders, and customer information accurately.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of customer, product, pricing, and market requirements.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, reporting tools, and presentation preparation.

Activities
As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for the following activities:
Credit risk management:
- To process and review all credit applications for clients within the business segments assigned by conducting risk assessments on new customers to determine customer’s credit worthiness and the risk of default to TMSA aligned to the organisation’s policies and standards and conduct ongoing risk assessments on existing customers.
- Assess, analyse, and interpret financial statements and client credit data to determine the degree of risk involved in dealing with the customer
- Monitor economic indicators which may affect credit risk and collections and provide appropriate recommendations to Business.
- To apply an ongoing reviewing methodology on all credit limits within the various channels of trade and to monitor and report on all Credit limits changes
- To manage timeous annual credit reviews on all customers with credit limits
- Recommend collateral where necessary and ensure validity and legal enforceability.
- To notify credit insurance of any defaults and submit claims timeously to enable timeous settlement as well as follow up on any pending claims.
- To ensure that Credit insurers are fully informed of status of the debtors
- To establish a suitable Credit Limit for customers in line with delegation of authorities
- To offer effective customer collections support to the Accounts receivable team in analysing the performance of the debtor’s book
- To ensure P&L budget objectives are adhered to with regards to Bad Debt Provision and Bad Debt write off.
- To provide assistance to the Auditors on all requirements (for internal and external audits).
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders - (Credit Bureaus, Insurance houses, Banks, Business Team, etc).
- To perform ad-hoc credit risk management related activities.
- To support initiatives within the Finance and IS division.
Reporting:
- To provide an accurate and ongoing reconciliation of securities and approved Credit limits.
- To analyse the Credit Results on a monthly basis and to provide the Accounts Receivable Manager Managers with a guideline of ensuring accurate and prompt collections in lieu of critical risk elements.
- To assist Conduct DMA analysis reports for accounts with limits upon reviews.
- To assist Calculate and prepare of the DSO report for business as when requested.
- To assist with provisions, accruals, priority controls, KPC and WCR reporting.
- To assist with trade insurance declarations.
- Assist with preparation for the Credit Committee presentation.
Stakeholder management
- Build and maintain positive relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Assist internal sales partners with credit decisions and with communicating the adaptation and application of the group credit policy, Company’s act, and National Credit Act
- Provide support to the team and business
HSSE:
- To effectively manage and minimise HSE risk within area of responsibility by ensuring: Compliance with all HSE Policies, rules, guideline and legal requirements. Promotion of safe working environment and positively contributing to the company HSE KPIs and risk reduction strategies. That HSE competency requirements are identified & enforced within area of responsibility
Candidate Profile

- B Comm degree is a requirement.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience business related experience.
- Understanding of Commercial Law.
- Ability to analyse financial statements.
