    Maintenance Coordinator - Potchefstroom

    Job Description
    THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

    • We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance Coordinator to oversee all maintenance activities and ensure the general upkeep of the manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for developing and implementing maintenance plans to minimize downtime, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities. The Maintenance Coordinator will also be responsible for asset care management and ensuring adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety to maintain a safe working environment.

    Responsibilities
    WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

    • Perform tasks associated machine availability.
    • Ensure optimal machine availability by implementing effective maintenance strategies. 
    • Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns. 
    • Review, evaluate, and prioritize maintenance requests to ensure timely response. 
    • Coordinate rapid response teams for urgent repairs. 
    • Regularly inspect sites, assess equipment conditions, and address maintenance needs. 
    • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records for all machinery. 
    • Oversee the implementation of the MECP (Maintenance Excellence and Continuous Improvement Program).
    • Assign tasks and supervise maintenance team to ensure efficiency. 
    • Lead, mentor, and train the maintenance team to enhance performance and skills development. 
    •  Conduct regular team meetings to provide updates on maintenance performance and priorities. 
    • Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
    • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. 
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions where necessary. 
    • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and ensure timely procurement of replacements. 
    • Assist and oversee troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of machinery, equipment, and infrastructure.
    • Prepare downtime analysis and cost reports for management review. 
    • Recommend and implement efficiency improvements to reduce costs and enhance productivity.
    • Manage project deliverables to ensure alignment with organizational goals while coordinating maintenance teams for effective execution of machine upgrades and new installations

    Qualifications
    ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Grade 12 with Trade Test. A Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field) is preferred.
    • Experience: 3–6 years in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG industries.
    • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications in Maintenance Management, Leadership, or related fields are advantageous

    Procurement Manager: Culinary

    Job Description
    THE JOB AT A GLANCE

    • You are responsible for developing and executing the sourcing strategy for your respective commodities and ensuring delivery of the best procurement value and mitigation of supply risks. You will establish a distinctive competency and understanding of the commodities and Tiger Brands’ business needs and continuously identify new procurement value opportunities in line with the Commodity Strategies. You will deliver cost savings projects focused on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization whilst ensuring a healthy relationship with suppliers and business. You will also lead a team of sourcing specialists to support you in the execution of the strategy.

    Responsibilities
    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Oversight of the procurement and buying activities within the business unit, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and contracts within the Business Unit.
    • Work with the broader procurement function and contribute to the development and promotion of a professional and ethical procurement function
    • Managing RFX’s to optimize spend and unlock value for Tiger ensuring compilation of procurement motivations for approval of RFI/Q awards ensuring compliance with Tiger Brands Procurement Policy and Procedures
    • Develop, implement and manage supplier contracts for assigned spend with support of the Tiger Brands Legal team within the BU
    • Provide budgetary input, quarterly cost forecasts, and Zero-Based Budget Management
    • Maintain Supply Risk registers for specified commodities
    • Complete supplier evaluations, negotiations and price movements for all categories allocated to this role 
    • Monitor and manage contracts for the BU and suppliers to ensure all contracts are valid and risk is managed and mitigated proactively 
    • Management of the relevant procurement processes including online procurement platforms (Zycus etc) as well as related data management processes ensuring full BU adoption 
    • Explanation of complex products, services or concepts to internal or external customers or clients
    • Compilation of procurement mandates and motivations for approval of contract awards to Exco level as well as compilation of In-depth technical reports, proposals or project briefs affecting one or more business unit
    • Monthly recon and reporting of KPIs and related metrics including of savings generated from Continuous Improvement initiatives to both BU and central procurement for Group Consolidation

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Develop a robust and comprehensive the Learning and  Leadership Development Architecture for Tiger to drive the acceleration of learning at Tiger and implement learning strategies and programs
    • Provide strategic advice (interpret, integrate, apply judgement and determine relevance) on all Learning and Development Matters
    • Partner with PE Teams and Business to identify capability gaps and develop plans for closure working to actively identify solutions, track progress and monitor returns
    • Drive and enable a learning culture through the crafting of a skills and competency library for Tiger Brands, design of learning plans that support personal development plans and succession plans
    • Lead the shaping of the development of Tiger Academies (HR, IT, Finance, Legal, Marketing, R&D, Customer & Supply Chain and Leadership)
    • Define and Implement the measurement of the value of learning order to improve quality of work, productivity and retention. This includes the effectiveness of all learning aspects including assessments
    • Develop systems, processes and technology to track and monitor learning delivery at Tiger
    • Determine organizational development needs and develop gap closing strategies
    • Utilise performance and talent management, people development plans and succession planning to analayse learning requirements and the provision of applicable programmes
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Tiger Brands-wide leadership competency framework, providing comprehensive development tools for each competency
    • As a talent segment, design Leadership and High Potentials Development programmes to make Tiger Brands’ leaders more effective
    • Conduct needs analysis studies and align with leadership to determine learning needs based on competencies, organisational changes and other external factors

    Qualifications
    ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, HR, education, instructional design or a related field required (Post Graduate degree an advantage)
    • 10 years of overall experience with at least 5 years’ experience/exposure in learning and leadership development
    • Prior experience in designing Learning & leadership development frameworks across different workforce segments and turning this into toolkits
    • Demonstrated ability to maximize leader performance through developing and introducing leadership initiatives
    • Strong understanding and proven track record of demonstration of effective leadership behaviours
