• Our team of experts is looking for a Warehouse Driver to join the Absolute Pets team at the warehouse in Kempton Park.

If you want to join our team, these are a few of the key areas that you will need to be responsible for:

• Ensure timely deliveries to stores as per the route schedule.
• Ensure that the vehicle leaves the warehouse by no later than 09H00 every morning (Mondays to Fridays).
• Ensure that the vehicle is loaded in an organised manner according to the delivery route schedule for the day.
• Ensure that all food items are checked and verified upon loading of the vehicle.
• Ensuring correct stock is delivered to the specific stores and that the stores check all food items delivered upon delivery in the presence of the truck driver.
• Minimize the damages by careful handling of products during loading and offloading.
• Report all discrepancies that are found during the delivery route to the warehouse manager.
• Ensure that all stock returned to the warehouse is checked and verified as correct according to the IBT document. All stock discrepancies must be noted on the IBT.
• The delivery vehicle must be kept neat and tidy at all times.
• Any vehicle damages or breakages must be reported to the warehouse manager as soon as possible.
• Behave and perform their duties and responsibilities in a manner that upholds The Company values.
• Assist in any other general warehouse duties as per operational needs.

• Code 10 with PDP
• Proven work experience as a delivery vehicle driver

• This position requires a candidate with strong English language writing skills, the ability to engage with information and various types of communication and create meaningful copy and content for multiple channels and platforms.
• You will report to the Marketing Manager but liaise with various individuals and departments in the company, as well as external stakeholders.

Overview of roles and responsibilities:

• Social media - ongoing copy and content creation and coordination:
• Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain the social media content plan (calendar) for all social media pages (more than 1 brand).
• Ongoing research on social media environment and provide feedback on new trends, new developments and new opportunities to keep our social media platforms engaging and relevant to our audience.
• Propose new and trendy ideas and plans for content for the various platforms on an ongoing basis.
• Liaise with various team members to gather content and design elements to carry out the content plan.
• Recruit, manage and monitor social media influencers.
• Manage social media content with shopping centres.

Copywriting and editing:

• Research and write articles and blog posts on various pet care topics.
• Write, edit and proofread product copy for websites, email newsletters, brochures, competition landing pages and other marketing material (customer-facing).
• Manage radio ad content for promotions (brief agency, review, edit, provide feedback)
• Website support:
• Monitor content (product copy, banners, promotions etc) on the website.
• Assist with uploading content to various websites.

General:

• Liaise with experts in the industry for various information and content.
• Liaise with product photographer for photo content for the website.
• Monitor company bio information online.
• General copy and content support to the marketing team.

Experience and qualification

• Tertiary qualification in a related field (journalism, copywriting, digital marketing)
• Minimum 2 years full-time working experience in a similar role.
• Copywriting experience.
• Experience writing for social media and blog posts.
• Experience writing copy for marketing material (brochures, flyers, newsletters etc)
• Experience with Microsoft office – word, excel, ppt
