    Specialist: Business Analyst - Project Management Office (Pretoria)

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Elicit requirements using various best practice business analysis related tools and techniques; 
    • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and decompose high-level information into details i.e. input data fields with an eye for enabling reporting;
    • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the   needed artifacts (i.e., functional requirements, business requirements document, use cases, Graphical User Interface (GUI), screen and interface designs);
    • Analyse existing and new business processes to continuously identify and define data quality and integrity in platform applications;
    • Document changes to the design and implementation of new systems and enhancements;
    • Create and maintain workflows, approval processes, and validation rules based on internal stakeholder requirements;
    • Define and document internal and external user interfaces, support systems and data requirement clarification and definition;
    • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse tradeoffs between usability and performance needs;
    • Work directly with and serve as the liaison between business units, technology teams and support teams;
    • Assist in quality assurance and defining testing strategy and risks, and provide significant contributions in the testing and debugging of new software or   enhancements to existing software; and
    • Act as project manager for projects executed in area under responsibility and ensure the identification of issues their tracking, reporting and resolution   in a timely manner.

    Requirements

    • A bachelor’s degree or Computer Science, Business Information Systems or any other equivalent qualification with at least 5 – 7 years working experience in designing, reengineering, implementing and managing business processes and systems or other relevant experience.
    • The candidate must demonstrate ability to develop, document and maintain data flow diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), data modelling and other related diagrams including the designing and documenting detailed information flows.
    • In depth knowledge of Business Analysis Methodology and Business Case Development.

    Senior Investigator - Enforcement Department (Pretoria)

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Create and execute clear, focused, and efficient investigation plans with reasonable timelines.
    • Assess complaints and new cases for further action
    • Conduct quality investigations (gathering all relevant, admissible evidence and proper analysis of the evidence);
    • Take responsibility for the execution of all enforcement actions, including the drafting of all enforcement documentation presentation to enforcement   meetings, debarments, withdrawal of licences and administrative penalties. 
    • Ensure compliance with protocols and procedures, including confidentiality and non-abuse of investigation powers.
    • Identify and implement methods to improve efficiency and quality. 

    Requirements

    • A Legal or Accounting, degree, with at least 10 years’ experience in litigation, prosecution, forensic investigation, or forensic accounting.
    • At least five years of the 10 years’ experience must have been obtained at the FSCA’s Enforcement Department and such experience must be recent.

    Senior Analyst - Financial Advisors & Intermediaries

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Investigate complaints relating to contraventions of the FSR Act and other financial sector laws;
    • Ensure that regulatory action is taken when contravention is confirmed;
    • Deal with debarments of persons who have been found to have materially contravened the FSR Act and/or any sector law;
    • Deal with suspensions and withdrawals of entities authorised in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS Act); 
    • Liaise with investigators on investigations conducted in terms of the FSR Act;and
    • Be able to perform administrative and other activities relating to the regulatory framework.

    Requirements

    • An LLB or bachelor’s degree in law or related field with 3 to 5 years working experience. Candidates must have an understanding of the FSR Act and other financial sector laws.
