Specialist: Business Analyst - Project Management Office (Pretoria)
Elicit requirements using various best practice business analysis related tools and techniques;
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and decompose high-level information into details i.e. input data fields with an eye for enabling reporting;
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the needed artifacts (i.e., functional requirements, business requirements document, use cases, Graphical User Interface (GUI), screen and interface designs);
Analyse existing and new business processes to continuously identify and define data quality and integrity in platform applications;
Document changes to the design and implementation of new systems and enhancements;
Create and maintain workflows, approval processes, and validation rules based on internal stakeholder requirements;
Define and document internal and external user interfaces, support systems and data requirement clarification and definition;
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse tradeoffs between usability and performance needs;
Work directly with and serve as the liaison between business units, technology teams and support teams;
Assist in quality assurance and defining testing strategy and risks, and provide significant contributions in the testing and debugging of new software or enhancements to existing software; and
Act as project manager for projects executed in area under responsibility and ensure the identification of issues their tracking, reporting and resolution in a timely manner.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or Computer Science, Business Information Systems or any other equivalent qualification with at least 5 – 7 years working experience in designing, reengineering, implementing and managing business processes and systems or other relevant experience.
The candidate must demonstrate ability to develop, document and maintain data flow diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), data modelling and other related diagrams including the designing and documenting detailed information flows.
