    Management Accountant

    Job Description

    The purpose of the Role is to: 

    • Compile and send out daily/weekly/monthly sales reports
    • Yield variance reporting

    Minimum Requirements

    • Preferably 3 to 5 years management accounting experience, incorporating commercial costing and some exposure to processing or manufacturing environments 

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    Reporting

    • Upload, correct, reconcile and balance weekly/monthly reports.
    • Review daily and weekly product costing reports.
    • Compile a weekly and monthly report of MACS actual raw material usage against standard and:
    • Validate the logic of the MACS standard usage calculation against the actual usage.
    • Engage QA and Processing in order to investigate variances between standard and actual consumption levels.
    • Prepare a monthly product costing report together with appropriate explanations for the monthly management accounting pack.
    • Review the monthly reconciliations in product costing and cost centre accounting to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Upload and reconcile the monthly general ledger.
    • Generate the flexed budget report and conduct investigations to identify and address variances.

    Product Costing 
    Budgeting and Forecasting

    • Calculate regional quarterly/budget standard and actual product costs in MACS.

    Assist with to coordinate the budget and quarterly forecast costing process including:

    • Uploading the general ledger
    • Uploading production
    • Uploading pricing
    • Testing throughput
    • Testing man loads
    • Testing consumption rates
    • Testing activity quantities

    Product Cost Integrity

    • Maintain Routings and the MACS product costing system.
    • Develop, oversee and drive momentum of continuous BOM and routing audit processes to be conducted by Processing and QA resources.
    • Coordinate investigations and audits with the MACS Management Accountant and Plant Managers to support initiatives designed to control costs and maximise profitability.
    • Review and provide insight into proposed changes to product costs (as a result of trials or change in specifications) and new product proposals.
    • Maintain the integrity and support proper execution of the NPD approval process.
    • Load new BOM’s for trial codes requested from Master Data
    • Calculate and implement any approved changes to product costing, clearly outlining the impact of such changes on the cost base and ultimately, profitability.
    • Monitor, review and provide feedback on the actual impact of changes that have been made and new product costing as part of the “post launch” process. 

    Project Coordination

    • Assist in the compilation of Capex motivations and other irregular requirements.
    • Conduct ad hoc projects and feasibility studies in respect of product profitability.

    Information and Data Management

    • Accurately and regularly capture data into the information system to enable access to reliable data and reporting for trend analysis and decision making.

    HRIS Officer

    Job Description    

    • RCL FOODS is on the hunt for an experienced HRIS Officer for their Group Services Division. The role will report to the HR Information Systems and Project Manager and will be based in Durban (Westville).
    • The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the HRIS Controller in implementation and control of Time and Attendance best practice and Organisational Management (OM) on SAP HCM. Drive and enable the effective and accurate utilization of the BESTime T&A system, OrgChartNow, HR workflows, SharePoint, HR Manage, reporting tools and interfaces. Ensuring that the T&A system is maintained and used correctly to accurately record employees’ time and attendance records for uploading into the payroll systems. Provide specialist guidance and effective facilitation of competency-based training in T&A and HR Information Systems as well as provide HRIS support to both HR Practitioners and employee end-users.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Relevant Degree or equivalent preferably with an Information Systems focus.
    • Valid Code EB drivers’ license.
    • 4 years relevant experience with HR Information Systems, such as T&A Systems, SAP System function or similar environment.

    • Maintain templates, load new users and resolve any queries regarding OrgChartNow or new users not picked up on SharePoint with access to Team Sites.
    • Load New users onto SharePoint Team Site if they are not on the system.
    • Maintains familiarity with all HRIS systems, utilizing them as needed, evaluating their effectiveness, and making recommendations for enhancements.
    • Maintain the Outlook HR Groups, updating Outlook with HR that needs to be added to the group mailing lists based on information on SAP about new joiners, leavers and promotions and transfers.
    • Work directly with the service providers as needed for troubleshooting and evaluation of new technology solutions.
    • Training:
    • Develop, maintain, coordinate and present learning material and documentation on current system and new developments for HRIS end-users.
    • Responsible for training of all new HR Staff on SAP HCM, OrgChartNow, SharePoint and Workflows and continuously monitor understanding of these.

    Despatch Clerk - Kokstad

    Job Description    

    • RCL Foods is recruiting for a driven, highly energized Despatch Clerk within the baking business unit.
    • The suitable candidate will be required to ensure accurate stock and crate movement from production to the despatching of trucks and return logistics. To ensure that all paperwork and other transactional duties are completed accurately, timeously and efficiently.
    • This role will be based in Durban and reporting to the Distribution Manager.
    • This role is a Permanent role.

    Minimum Requirements    

    Education

    • Grade 12, Matric pass rate with a maths pass rate  above 60%

    Skills

    • Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in 
    • English. 
    • Good numeracy
    • Good computer literacy – especially Excel and e-mail 

    Experience

    • 1 -2 years experience in a dispatch department
    • FMCG experience is advantageous
    • Experience working with JDE advantageous 

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Stock Management
    • Verify stock handover from previous shift
    • Ensure cages are locked
    • Ensure stock that is pulled from production is signed for by dispatch clerk and production supervisor
    • Ensure stock is loaded according to company safety standards
    • Ensure stock is loaded in such a way as to prevent damage to the stock
    • On vehicle return, count returns and issue credit notes for the driver or customer when Returns Clerk is not present
    • Ensure good stock returns are returned to dispatch cages
    • Ensure damaged returns are moved to the damage container
    • Conduct cycle count of stock in dispatch to ensure it balances and provide reasons if not balancing
    • Accurate receipting and dispatching of confectionary according to SOP
    • Crate Control
    • Ensure the integrity of crate movement within JDE
    • Conduct a crate count of all Sunshine crates on the company premises daily
    • Report any crate discrepancies to the dispatch supervisor
    • On vehicle return, count number of crates on the vehicle, enter onto crate sheet and issue crate slip to driver
    • Transactional Duties
    • Print accumulative sales report and loading sheet 
    • Give instructions to loaders which stock to be pulled and loaded, quantity and type
    • Process sales of bread to customers, inclusive of damages
    • Do cash up on cash sales and balance to invoices
    • Ensuring the invoices for all drivers and customers are printed correctly and given to drivers once vehicle loaded and he’s ready for departure
    • Transfer stock to reflect accurately on the driver’s route location
    • Record special requests in request book and give to the production supervisor
    • Complete handover sheet for next shift and inform next shift clerk about any important information he  needs to know
