    Operations Manager -M4

    Job Description

    • The purpose of this role is to drive the profit and manage loss by securing the market for the Parts and Service division through our strategy and further maintain, protect increase the market share for Parts and Service and delivered productivity improvement on customer sites.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Participate in the formulation of the divisional strategy in line with company strategy
    • Develop all segments sales strategy in conjunction with the Product line Manager, Customer Services and the strategic projects
    • Lead aftermarket business growth in the respective areas of control
    • Develop the aftermarket support in the areas of control to meet and exceed customer satisfaction
    • Identifying, analysing, and driving resolution of customer issues (warranty and non-warranty) with account management
    • Setting up and manage service contract operations to meet the contract target cost
    • Executing field service activities
    • Setting up and managing service field operations
    • Effective Operations Management
    • Responsible for investing competitor activities and conducting relevant market research that enables the segment to maintain market competitiveness
    • Planning and assigning contract managers and area field service managers to various teams and individuals
    • Effective cost effectiveness through management of profit and loss by ensuring that revenue and profitability targets are set for the various customer sites, monitored and remediated where necessary
    • Manage sound employee relations in accordance with People policies and procedures.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Matric (Grade 12)/N3 Technical/equivalent (NQF Level 4)
    • Relevant Business or technical qualification (NQF Level 6)
    • Intermediate Computer literacy (including relevant programs)
    • Knowledge of Sandvik Databases

    Experience

    • Experience in senior Management position (7 years)
    • Experience in operational management (7 years)
    • English proficiency
    • Experience in mining applications underground mining (Specifically board and pillar applications)

    Other Requirements

    • Physical & Medical ability to function in an underground coal environment
    • Will be required to travel

    Administration Supervisor - M1

    The Role

    • Create accurate reports using statistical data to spot customer trends. Code and sort documents for precise processing and filling. Ensure prompt responses to or redirect routine inquiries from external and internal stakeholders. Communicate with internal/external stakeholders regarding deliveries, stock, pricing, invoices and ad hoc activities, while following the organisations standard operating procedures.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Open new jobs on the system and compile data packs
    • Issues data packs to the Workshop to activate repair requests
    • Work in progress (WIP) management
    • Compile quotations for customers and invoicing.
    • Follow-up on outstanding orders from customers
    • Job timesheet capturing, to influence utilization
    • Follow-up on outstanding spare parts
    • Lead administrators in the service operations.
    • Attend to creditor's/suppliers’ queries
    • Expedite delivery of orders and invoicing
    • GRNing of Purchase Orders
    • Capture timesheets on the system.
    • Financial reporting and tracking on field service and service contracts
    • Perform office duties such as typing letters, memos, minutes of meetings, etc.
    • Ensure that all documents are completed correctly
    • Attend to debtor's queries
    • Compile weekly reports as required

    Required Competencies

    • Matric (Grade 12) (NQF Level 4)
    • National Diploma/Degree in Business, Administration, or equivalent (NQF Level 6)
    • 1 - 2 years of Supervisory experience
    • Intermediate computer and MS Office Suite literacy
    • SAP/Maximo systems experience (advantageous)
    • Service Contracts experience
    • Intermediate English proficiency
    • 2 years experience in office administration and customer relations
    • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment

    The Role 

    • To provide effective and efficient administrative support to the Workshop team,
    • ensuring smooth operations within the organization while upholding the company's mission, vision, and standards. This includes capturing all relevant data into the electronic system, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring accurate and efficient documentation control.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine administrative activities according to the organization's established procedures
    • Enter information accurately into documents such as reports, presentations or forms; and office systems such as databases or spreadsheets.

    • 2 – 3 years’ administration experience within a mining environment
    • High level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity

    • Ability to organize, prioritize and complete multiple tasks under tight time constraints, in a high-volume environment.
    • Good time management, prioritizing, and organizing skills.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders

    Business Controller - P3

    The Role:

    • Responsible for monitoring, measuring and analyzing business activities and operating results from both a financial and operational perspective, within a specific customer segment, identifying improvement areas and implementing appropriate action plans which align to business objectives, with a focus on containing costs and enhancing profitability. Responsible to drive continuous improvements.

    Key Requirements:

    • Accountable for and measured on monthly balance sheet and P&L for customer segment
    • Produce timely and accurate management reports

    EFFECTIVE BUDGET

    • Ensure that costs are controlled and that deviations from budget are investigated and rectified

    • Take remedial action (e.g. alignment of headcount with business demands)
